Your Hobby Place - Alexandria

Mike was the most pleasant and knowledgeable game store employee I've ever met. I went in just to check out a store in a new area and walked out being a fan for life. When a game store employee chats with you for half an hour after you bought something, you know you're in the right place. If you're in Alexandria for any reason at all, you have to go and check out Your Hobby Place.

I just bought a booster box of Chaos Origins here and the box had clearly been tampered with. The packs slid open on one end without much resistance, and each had a crimped line about halfway down the back of the pack, indicating they’d been tampered with. Additionally, the ends of the back flap were different from each other in terms of adhesion to the pack. The packs I got at a different store last week had none of these defects (in the photo of the two packs, the tampered pack from Your Hobby Place is on the left) and were noticeably harder to open, indicating they’d weren’t resealed. The box itself was already torn upon opening. Very disappointing considering the $114 cost of the box. I won’t be coming back.

11/10 cause they went extra extra mile for my wife and I when visiting. We had questions about the board games for both of us to play and the staff member who helped us was super friendly and knowledgeable , created a great first time vibe for our visit I ended up getting few boxes of Warhammer cause the price was better than amazon on boxes that I got (which is rare nowadays) A lot of different inventory for different hobby niches! A lot of different stores around but if you don’t want to go from store to store looking for what you need , look no further cause this is my to go place now!

Great spot with sick terrain and figures from tons of franchises. Easy to find. Easy parking. Central location with what I noticed to be excellent Italian food nearby. Staff was helpful and kind. Found a bars themed slim jim and some snot paint. They had my boy solar leontus on the shelf.

Excellent hobby store, I first started coming for Pokemon TCG and now I go to Warhammer 40K. I love how big the store is and how much room they have for events, so much nicer then being crammed in. The employees are very kind, knowledgeable and helpful, I’ve only had positive experiences so far. Love how much terrain they have, and how accessible the store is. I would highly recommend a visit if you are in the area/into wargaming/tabletop games or TCGs
