WZKD Games Southside

Big expensive looking shop, lots of stock, plenty of players but, be warned, seems not very friendly to less experienced players, you need to be good at gaming to play here or they'll just pubstomp you, not really my cup of tea.

I brought my Pokémon singles to sell. They t took my most expensive Japanese moltres card shined a light through the bottom and determined it was “fake” because light was seen through despite the fact that every Japanese card they had on display did the same exact thing. Seems like they need to educate themselves a little more.

Myself as well as two other people walked around and waited for over 30 min to try and get some sort of help in buying some cards. Seems as though the employees or whoever were more interested in playing one piece than they were in actually doing their job. Walked out empty handed while the worker obviously seemed un bothered, never greeted never approached nor asked if any of us needed anything. Hope y’all do better for others in the future.

Craig is a wonderful human being and the store is a hotspot for gamers at all levels...a truly fun place to be, kid friendly, always something going on. Give 'em your business! There is a VERY strong group of MTG players here happy to meet everyone in casual to competitive play. Fridays and Sundays are always popping and there are usually people there at any time regardless. The singles collection is good, the culture is solid, the events are well-run...no bad things to say about WZKD! Also, hugely grateful they commissioned me to do a huge mural with Magic: The Gathering characters taking up enormous wall space. Project is taking forever but it looks great in there!

This is an amazing gaming store. Not only does this store stock amazing games, there seems to be a strong gaming community that patronize this store. If I lived in Santa Fe, I'd visit this store more frequently myself.
