My young daughter and I had a great experience at West Coast Sports Cards today. All of the employees were helpful. Josh went the extra mile to explain various Pokémon card game strategies to help us find cards to spruce up our decks, and help me not get destroyed by my 6-year-old every time we play lol. I wish we learned about this shop a year ago when she started playing!

I’ve been back at MTG since final fantasy and these guys are awesome and treat me and my buddies very well and with respect. I buy boxes of cards and trade in my valuable cards to them since I simply just play now and don’t really collect. They give me fair trade in value every time I come in. They even gave my buddy some cards last week for his birthday. Little stuff like this is the reason I only deal with these guys when trading in my magic cards. You guys rock and I’ll see y’all tomorrow to buy some hobbit!!

Delusional pricing is the best I can describe. They prey on the folks who cannot find product anywhere else and come here as a last ditch effort. I've shopped here a few times now, and their trade in policies are a rip off to the customer. I learned the first visit to not bother with trade ins, especially as they don't give a rats behind about playables for the hobby either. Now as for pricing, my last straw was today when I called to ask for prices on their One Piece TCG merch. For the newest set that just released they are charging $6 more than market (based on yhe average sales in the last week), aka 200% of market for a booster pack, and $55 over market for a booster box. Previous sets get even more egregious with charging well above market, with another recent set being almost 2x that of current market. Believe the one star reviews. The responses to these reviews are gaslighting and twisting words to be in their favor. They are not just trading at a low percentage, they are selling well above market. This is scalping behavior, and frankly, their behavior is everything wrong with the modern tcg space because they have no problem taking advantage of people during a massive recession. They do get a second star for a handful of their staff who have always been lovely to me when I go in. But I know those specific staff are not the ones setting these prices, and they're just doing their best in a shitty situation.

Thought i had already left a review but since they opened a new store with all the money they make from scalping pokemon, definitely adding it now. This place has been around forever. Have gone to them for years when looking for various products you cant find at a retailer. This place was down to its last leg in October of 2024. They were only open for 5 hrs a day and 4 or 5 days a week. Then Prismatic Evolutions dropped. They are a direct buyer from distribution so they pay retailer prices for cards. 40% of msrp. They would still make money even at retail. Once Prismatic Evolutions became heavily sought after, west coast decided to charge 400% mark ups on those products. Cards shops never were "market priced" until places like west coast realized they could make tons of money selling it at market since people were willing to pay that much. I understand that this is now normal but it wasnt until last year. They said they were doing it in order to have product available but its a money grab. $80 for a $25 product which you pay only 15 is greed. Not to mention they had all of the staff going around to retailers buying up their stock in federal way area. Like I said, they have tons of products if you're looking for something specific or rare but be ready to pay a premium.

I’ve lived in the area for over two decades and had never been in this store because I’m just not interested in sports cards. My husband said they sell card games here, too. Imagine my surprise when we went in and they sell MTG, Yugioh, One Piece, Pokémon and whatever other game you’re probably looking for. They have a small play area that seems to have very nice peopleZ The prices are absolutely fair and I found that their customer service is excellent. I recommend this store and it has quickly become my favorite in the area.
