Unsettled Geeks

I have been going here for at least 2 years and have always been a respectful customer, more importantly given this place a lot of business… unfortunately the owner has an extremely bad attitude and in my opinion running a business the first and most important thing is being a people person even when your not… Dylan is the only employee here that has made me feel welcome so I give him five stars! Taking my business elsewhere from now on, if you just want a place to make a quick purchase this is it… but for love of the hobby it is not.

They have a good selection of cards, but if you want more than 5 you have to order online, in which case, tcgplayer is easier cause you get the cards mailed to you and you don't have to leave your house! To clarify, I waited patiently while you assisted other customers, and most of the cards I wanted were in the case. There weren't even 15 people in the store when I was there.

stopped in person monday asking about new pokemon set. they told me later in the week they might get more in so i called today to check in. they didn’t have at time but called me back few minutes later that they got some. i went over & grabbed 6 packs & pulled the chase card on pack 2. stoked deff my go to card shop. amazing friendly staff.

Went in for the first time about two weeks ago and I was pretty impressed. Prices (for Pokémon) weren’t too far above msrp for what I was looking for and they had way more selection than a lot of the places I’ve seen. Ended up getting 3 packs of ME for $6.99 each and a Paldean Fates sticker pack for $27. Prices obviously varied depending on set and product type, but considering I was buying from the newest set and also a set that’s typically scalped to high heavens, I left pleased. Even pulled the Penny SIR from the sticker pack!

Overpriced. I wanted to see if this store lived up to the negative things I heard in the Pokémon TCG commission. I checked it out and came to the conclusion that these cards are way overpriced, especially the packs. This prismatic evolutions booster bundle comes out to almost $15 per pack. Their pack prices reek of scalping. Being that this is a LCS, that’s expected since product is obtained less frequently, causing the price to increase, but I’ve yet to see anything higher than this at the local card stores in CT that I frequent. I usually see around $60 for these, which is still not worth the value, but $86 is atrocious compared to other stores. I didn’t get a good impression of their singles pricing either. One card was worth around $23 and they were trying to price it as $27. They should be using TCG Player exclusively where they can like most local card stores in CT. In summary, most card stores in CT have better pricing, even on packs. I don’t recommend this place for purchases. I would recommend EC3 Store, Second Floor Games, Portal, and J-Rod’s Hobby shop for better prices. They have fair card singles pricing. Very ironic seeing other comments on here about the store calling other customers scalpers. This store belongs in the overpriced trash bin with Tabletop in Newington.
