Underhill's Games

I can see this place being really cool with time. As it stands, the experience is pretty strange. They have some board games at incredible deals. Other used games are in beat-to-hell boxes that are quite literally falling apart at the seams with outrageous prices on them compared to average second-hand prices. Still, it's not like this is some unforgivable thing, it's just that the prices are all over the place. I wish all the success to this place going forward and look forward to stopping in later on.

Staff is much friendlier from the new management and the new manager is also nicer and more helpful than the older manager. Prices and trade-ins felt fair (I got $7 in credit for a $9 card for example). I'm glad I gave Underhills another chance and look forward to card hunting and playing some Commander here soon!

Staff member welcoming, knowledgeable, was good salesman, tried to understand our preferences and relate to us. Explained everything the store had to offer, showed a weekly schedule of games that are played. Said store uses discord but I had trouble finding the store's discord using the QR code in front of the point of sale.

I started playing a new card game (Lorcana) here about a month ago. I did not really know what to expect. From the minute I walked in, the people (employees and players alike) were welcoming, encouraging, and helpful. It's clear they WANT people to come in and enjoy themselves. I've been back every Wednesday night since. The place is a little rundown but that's not really what matters. It's the people that make up a shop - and this has the best there is.

Despite being a gaming nerd for years, tonight was my first visit to Underhills as I searched for the finishing touches for my family’s Christmas. The young lady working today was equal parts adorable and helpful, and suggested several things I hadn’t noticed in the store (like the DnD 123’s book for my baby). I will absolutely be coming back, and I really appreciate having this store in my community!
