The Painted Heretic

Love this place! Haven't had a chance to really hang out for very long, but I appreciate that anytime we've stopped by there's been no pressure to buy anything. The owners and staff are passionate and seem to really love what they do. We ordered several custom 3D prints of miniatures for an in-person reunion of our online campaign. Sent them the STL files from Heroforge, and it was easy as that! The prints came out lovely, and the price was incredibly reasonable, cheaper than anything you'd find online. They even cleaned up most of the sprues for us, so we could jump right into painting with minimal additional prep. We'll definitely be ordering from them again.

I have been coming down here for about 2 months. I find everything I need and the hobbyists here are a blast to talk to. The owner is super nice and collaborative. I drive about 2 hours down here just for the environment itself and it’s now my designated local game store. Rob and his team are fantastic!

A real third space of a shop! It’s a brand new store so inventory isn’t as deep as the long established shops but the owners are very responsive to what the community wants. Great play environment with a variety of games and a standing Discord to organize leagues and meet ups. Excited to see how the social aspect grows after a few years in town.

Veteran Table Top Gamers and those New to the Hobby should find everything they need right through these doors. They have a wide variety of warhammer / paints / & Star Wars Legion in stock now. A wide variety of tables are already set up for you to check out. This is the only hobby store in Athens that will offer A specialized booth for airbrushing miniatures. They also plan to offer 3d printing for DnD minis and other 3d printed needs. Don't forget to Support Local.

Was recommended to swing by from a friend and have really enjoyed the space! It's very clean and open and there's plenty of tables to set up at and have your own space. It's a great place to paint minis without ruining my carpet or clothes. 😂 Rob and Tyler have both been really cool and easy to get along with. It's awesome having a game shop this side of town that's more accessible to me. Super excited to continue going in the future.
