The Hobby Shop

The guy that opened the door had a chip on his shoulder for no apparent reason. Inventory wasn't worth the ride and there web page was either down or non existent, would have saved me the trip.

An employee mentioned that the reason why the shop no longer holds Pokemon shows/tournaments is because adults were ripping off kids on Pokemon cards but yet they sell modern Pokemon booster packs for $10 each. I guess their theory is to rip everyone off while they hold WhatNot shows to rip more people off. This is a retail store. STOP blaming other people for being ripoffs, you the Hobby Shop is a ripoff retailer!

I used to come here after school to buy Pokemon cards. I also used to come to get my girl scout patches sewed on. I think they must have changed ownership because the vibe in here is totally strange. Multiple grown men with gaming set ups live streaming about sports betting? I think. And he was yelling super loud and it was crazy annoying. No Pokemon cards available and the lady informed me grown men bought them all and kids can’t really get them anymore. I said it sucks and she said they don’t have a limit on how much you can purchase. I feel like you guys are feeding into it then? Like you can understand it’s an issue but you play along with scalping and ruin it for the kids. Doesn’t seem like they care about kids beyond the dusty baby toys on the shelves. Sad to see this place fall apart.

They walled off the side that was originally expanded into the neighboring store space so the store lost almost half of its floor space. I could be mistaken but the remaining side seemed to have significantly less product on the shelves. No more RPG's, comics, cool board games, very few Legos, etc. Even the vibe was "off". It used to be bustling especially right before the holidays but there were a lot fewer people in there. My daughter was quite distressed as she remembered it as almost a magical place a few years back. Not horrible, but a shadow of what it was even a few years ago. Probably won't go there again.

This is the Super Hobby Shop of all; from all type of build cars: Traxxas, Losi, Rock Crawlers,, all type of Bodys, paints, Legos, Barbies Collector items & dolls, Board Games, Boats, kites, Everyone are so helpful, knowledgeable, & professional. Thanks Dennis for the tips on my Eliminator.
