The Fun Factory

Wish I had come sooner! The vibe is great, the prices are awesome, and the inventory was rad. Last time I was there for two hours and didn't even realize! Will definitely be going back!

Visited Fun Factory with two 10 year olds I am nannying. We had been there once before and had a good experience. However, we went back today and were exploring one of the many boxes of pokemon cards that were on one of the many open tables that also had boxes. The one employee there yelled at us to get away from “his stuff” and shooed us away with hand gestures. Very rude. We apologized as we had no idea. There should be a sign by the specific table that it is off limits. Very confusing and unprofessional.

Does this shop carry pokemon? Yes. Do I have any desire to go there? Not... really. Which sucks, I love going into card shops and looking for things to trade and collecting specific pokemon. Each time I've come in to trade stuff, I can tell whoever I've interacted with behind the counter doesn't really care, so much to the point that I actually avoid going there, I'd rather go somewhere where it feels like people care. I get that the shop is not geared to pokemon, and it's more magic and ttrpgs, but at some point if you really don't like it that much, why carry it?

So came by on a snowy night with the wife. It was a Magic release event night, and not what we were their for. Great experience, manager and employee made sure we were taking care of even as busy as they were! Whenever we visit Traverse city we come by for one of the best FLGS ive been in!

So many board and card games at great prices! It was cool to walk in there and see momentos of my childhood— the owners are definitely Pokémon fans! 😄Also very knowledgeable and willing to chat about any game!
