The Adventurers' Academy

I picked out about $150 in cards I wanted to aquire and pulled oit about 180 in trade expecting to pay a few dollars difference or be about even. I was offered 100 bucks for my cards. Barely 60% for a trade is insanely low. Every store i frequent offers 80%. I brought in a sealed final fantasy starting town promo. About a $50 card. The cashier opened it before the deal was completed and while pricing my cards was bending the cards in hand leaving a crease in the card and marked it as lightly played. I refused the offer and as I was putting my cards away I noticed the crease in my card completely ruining the value. I was offered no compensation and offered 60% on the now creased lightly played card. On top of that It was a prerelease for Marvel so we were told we couldn't have tables for casual commander and my buddy bought a prerelease kit but opted not to play so he could shop. The shop ordered pizza for everyone that got a prerelease kit but my buddy was told he couldn't have a slice because he wasnt playing even tho he got the prerelease kit. Great atmosphere horrible employees. Would not recommend.

Adventurers Academy in York is an incredible experience from start to finish! The atmosphere is welcoming, the adventures are creative and exciting, and you can tell the team genuinely cares about making every visit memorable. Whether you’re new to the hobby or a longtime fan, they do an amazing job creating a fun, immersive environment where everyone feels included. A special shoutout to GMs Andrew and Ash — they absolutely bring the experience to the next level. Their energy, storytelling, and ability to keep everyone engaged made the adventure unforgettable. They put so much effort into making sure everyone had a great time, and it really shows. Huge thanks to the whole Adventurers Academy team (including the owners, front desk, GMs, etc.) for creating such a fantastic place.

Such a wonderful place for tabletop gaming, from Warhammer and D&D to board games! They have a wonderful selection of both dice and minis for sale, and a wonderful schedule of events for both beginners and veteran players alike.

I have visited many gaming stores from different states and the Adventurers' Academy is one that has stood out from above all the others. This store has many unique qualities. The owners have added their very own touches with doing woodwork in the store themselves. Their energy and kindness towards customers provides a fantastic atmosphere that makes the store so welcoming. The overall set up provides a medieval vibe that would truly enhance a session of any fantasy role-playing game. The passion for their business is phenomenal as they even dress in a renaissance attire that adds more to the fantasy setting in the store. Great customer service skills are also shown by attentiveness and knowledge of their great selection of products. I live an hour and a half away from the store, but if it wasn't for me being forty minutes away at the time that I decided to visit, I would have made the full trip with all the good things that I have heard. It is definitely worth checking out, and I will be visiting in the future. I am honored to see the store when it recently opened. I look forward to watching it grow in its successful and with giving customers an amazing experience as much as mine was.
