Sugoi Stuff

The store itself is very cool. Has lots of variety and the worker was very kind and good pricing. Unfortunately I had a bad experience. I’m new to the card shop and was looking around everything since I had been wanting to stop by. The worker was a bit busy with other guest so I didn’t want to butt in and interrupt. As I grab a loose pack to pay for it since I wanted to open one for fun, two customers look at me like I’m going to steal the pack and ask if I needed help. I let them know I didn’t and I was just grabbing the pack to purchase since I liked a certain character. After purchasing, I made small conversation to the worker since i wanted some info on graded cards, as I’m talking I just felt uncomfortable and like I was being watched by the two for no apparent reason. I walked out feeling uncomfortable and unwelcomed.

The staff here are amazing! I took my son here to sell and trade some of his cards. The guy examining the cards was very honest and transparent about which cards they purchased and why. He was nice enough to round up the amount for my son and actually gave him a good deal in a trade guy some packs. He went out of his way to make sure my son had a good first experience selling and trading cards. We will definitely be coming back here to buy, sell and trade.

As someone new to the Pokémon TCG hobby, I was very happy with the service I got. The prices were competitive and fair. They made sure I was comfortable with my purchase. The staff is clearly very experienced and helpful with any questions I had. As someone new, I'm grateful I found a spot that makes me comfortable as a newbie. The store is very spacious with many tables for playing as well. At least from my time there, the vibe was nice and chill, and it seems like a great spot to hang out with friends or play a tournament at. It was definitely worth the drive and checking out!

Awesome place for Gundam Card Game play! Sugoi has really turned a new leaf recently. A reorganized store, a ramen and snack bar, more table space, and more product! Focus has shifted towards really growing the card game community at the store for all major card games. IMO, definitely one of the best in OC for GCG with the consistency of the amount of players and the level of play. The owner, Jon, is awesome and always looking to provide a welcoming atmosphere for players of all ages to join the local tournaments.

The owner is awesome. My kids came here looking for a yu-gi-oh tournament but due to low attendance it was canceled. Owner hooked them up with snacks, a nice place to play together, and someone at the store played them. They were so happy. We're coming back for the Pokémon tournament on Wednesday. Best spot!
