If I could give this place more stars I would. I met Aaron through a mutual friend. I had been looking for a tattoo artist to clean up a couple of things. He did not disappoint. Aaron and the artists do amazing work. The shop is clean, the work areas are private, and the vibe is always right. They have some amazing comics and books. They are always willing to order things that aren’t in stock. Also they are always willing to do fundraisers and work out in the community. This place is solid.

The only comic shop in downtown Bham, and frankly will be the only that matters if another one opens. An excellent selection, catering to all kinds of readers. Extremely friendly staff, and a great pull box system. Can't comment on tattoos, but if you like comics go here!!!

It is a very clean place with very good vibes. There are plenty of comics and manga to browse while you wait. The staff are very nice and professional. They will treat you with kindness and respect! I would not recommend anywhere else in Birmingham. I TRUST Aaron Hamilton and Sanctum.

Great shop with great selection of current comics and back issues. They also had an extensive graphic novel and trade paperback selection that encompassed the big publishers and a lot of indies. The staff were really chatty and knowledgeable, with even other customers joining in with discussion and recommendation. We were drop-in visitors on vacation, but this is very clearly a local favourite and would absolutely be my regular spot if we lived in Birmingham.

Sanctum Comics and Tattoo in Birmingham is in its third (and hopefully final) location, and it's a great one. The owner was super friendly and greeted me right when I walked in. The back issues are neatly organized in large filing cabinets by alphabetical order, which made browsing easy. I found some nice picks, including Spawn and Something is Killing the Children. Parking was convenient with a paid lot just across the street. Definitely looking forward to stopping by again next time I'm in town.
