Rocket City Gaming Lounge

This place gave my wife food poisoning so bad that she developed PI- IBS. Please be careful what you pick here. EDIT: My old review was mistaken. It was previously meant for rocket city buffet. This place is still terrible. They don’t know how to price their merch, they don’t know their own stock. It literally stinks when you come in. You come in and feel like an outsider. This is a hollow husk of what it used to be and the owner doesn’t care cause he’s basically paying for just a hangout spot for his buddies.

Friendly staff that answered all my questions. Looking forward to playing some 40k there non Saturdays. Good selection of 40k and AoS minis and anything you don't see they'll order it for you, sometimes cheaper than if you bout it online yourself! Great tables and terrain in back room. Check it out!

Place was filthy and stank, shelves didn't have very much of anything and had a pretty ugly look when I stood there waiting for somebody to help me!

Rocket city is an awesome balance between a table top gammers hangout and singles selling game store. They bring a much needed RPG and MTG hangout to Alamogordo.

The shop is decent at best. Lighting for cards in the counter cases could be better, as well as lighting for the building. The lack of organization for Magic the gathering cards is very inherent and pushing $5 and below boxes onto people to sift through and then charging full price is ridiculous. Gratings for cards isn't really there either. Overall this shop feels like a group hangout place for the owner and his friends rather than a place of business on the front end. With the right amount of changes to organization, Lighting, sanitation overall aspects of the shop this place could be better. Try taking notes from other gameshops around the area because this place hasn't changed for 5 years.
