River City Hobbies

The employees at this shop were incredibly kind. We were shopping for "I Hate Fairyland" and the both went out of their way to search for our wanted comic and after finding a few copies, i was recommended a wonderful book to take home. Great recommendation! I thank them both for being so sweet and knowledgeable.

This place is the best. The staff is knowledgeable, kind and welcoming. My kiddo asks a lot of questions and loves to peruse the Pokémon cards. He is always met with patience and encouragement. We’ve purchased a lot of board games and D&D items and are always happy with what we get. Keep up the good work!!

First time visiting this store to purchase the Chaos Rising prerelease set, and unfortunately I didn’t feel very welcome. None of the employees greeted me or asked if I needed help or what brought me in. When I purchased my ETB and booster box, the older woman at checkout asked for my ID and even took a picture of it, which felt unnecessary and uncomfortable. I’ve shopped at other local card stores like Coulee Cards & Gaming and Badger Cards and have never experienced that before. Overall, the atmosphere felt unfriendly, especially if you’re not already a regular customer. Sadly, I won’t be supporting this shop anymore and will be taking my business elsewhere.

Recently stopped by the store after visiting family. Always been a comic guy and was told they had a good selection. This place is haven of that but so much more. Games, cards, dice, figures a bit of everything. After taking it all in and making up my mind I scored a Punisher and a Batman comic. The staff was very helpful and friendly, I'll definitely return when I'm next in the area

A great store with a knowledgeable and friendly staff! They have a fantastic selection of TCG and board games and are always willing to help. If they don't have something you're looking for, there's a decent chance they can find it for you! A great destination in downtown La Crosse for anything related to a ton of different hobbies!
