We are a huge manga family! Our library is extensive and we are always looking to support more local shops/business. Pros: Cute shop, great vibe. Cons: prices aren't reasonable and unfortunately terrible customer service. That's where I really decide if there will be a repeat visit, the customer service. My daughter found a token and let them know. Instead of rewarding her intergrity, they tried to charge her double when she went up to buy an additional token. The tolken was already paid for, most likely by a family who didn't see that the machine required 2. She's 10. Yeah, not really a kid friendly shop at all. They just lost our business which is a bummer for them. We just dropped 75$ on our first and only visit.

This cafe/manga store/community center/snack and stationary shop (yes it’s all those things) is a unique place. The inside is cozy, inviting and filled with anime and Japanese memorabilia and decor. Plenty of seating including a patio. You can have drinks from the cafe/counter like iced banana coffee (loved it). They also have japanese snacks and drinks. One of their main things that makes them special is their manga library. You can pick one to read from the counter or buy one from the shelves on the other side. Inside is also an instant ramen bar where you can choose and buy one then prepare it. They also host fun events like parties, movie nights and the “free to draw” event where you can come draw with other fellow artists. It’s not perfect but this place is special to me because it feels like a second home or visiting a friend’s place especially with the lovely staff. I’ll definitely come by for one of the many events hosted here like movie night or free to draw. Reggie’s is special but needs support from its community to grow. Stop by if you love manga, want some coffee or just need a break from the world!

Having volunteered for both their summer Pokémon Camp and autumn Ren Faire, and enjoyed many cozy bowls of ramen and Pokémon TCG tournaments, I can say with absolute certainty that Reggie's Manga Shop is a safe haven for me and many others. Kryston and Devon are both some of the kindest, most generous and professional people I have ever met, let alone had the pleasure of working with. They are endlessly dedicated to creating a space that treats others with kindness, regardless of where you're from or if you even have money to spend. As many people lose their jobs, their livelihoods, their communities, we need businesses like Reggie's more than ever; businesses that see their customers as more than customers, but as neighbors and friends. Treat others with kindness and respect, and Reggie's will respond in kind.

Came for the coffee, stayed for the fun conversations and atmosphere! Try the iced banana milk coffee! Another delightful surprise find: a private community room rental space in the back, and a full calendar of community events. This is a great “Third Space”.

Adorable place! I’m not into manga, but I love that I can get Japanese snacks, drinks, and onigiri right in N Portland! Staff was very friendly. The instant ramen station is so cute and a great idea. Will definitely be back and bring friends.
