We stopped by Red Rabbit on Grand Ave in Saint Paul right at 2:00 PM on a Thursday and honestly…perfect timing. We were greeted warmly and seated immediately in a cool, comfortable dining room (the AC was very appreciated on a summer day). They also have two separate outdoor patios if you’re in the mood to dine outside, which looked just as inviting. The vibe was spot-on with great music and a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere, and our waitstaff was fantastic from start to finish. Since we couldn’t decide what to order, we went all in and tried all seven of their Happy Hour offerings—and it was the best decision. Happy Hour runs Tuesday–Friday from 2:00–5:30 PM, and everything is just $9. That’s $63 for seven full-size dishes, which felt like an incredible value for the quality and portion sizes. Every single item impressed us, but our favorites were the calamari, oysters, wood smoked wings - the creamy parmesan dip was GREAT! and Italian cheese curds—we’d absolutely order those again (and probably will). For reference, we tried: oysters, burrata, crispy potatoes, garlic bread cheese curds, calamari, Margherita pizza, and wood-grilled wings. Each dish was flavorful, well-prepared, and clearly made with care. $9 each, $63 for all Seven. We’ll definitely be back!

This is the second time I've had a birthday dinner here. Both times were fantastic. I ordered the pesto with grilled chicken and the tiramisu. My friend had the linguini and tiramisu. Our server was attentive and objectively HAWT. I will be back soon. Also, as someone who occasionally orders from here on DoorDash, thank you for solid consistency.

One of our favorite spots on Grand Avenue! Service has always been great and fast. Our go to when we’re craving pasta! Recently tried the lunch special which came with a good portion of salad and 1/2 sandwich. (They also have very good cosmos)

Enjoyed a dinner with the girls on the patio, a bit noisy out there...but still enjoyable. Server was spectacular -friendly and efficient. We got our food incredibly fast. It was all delicious. Dessert too! Clean and friendly and excellent food!

I would have given this a five-star rating all around if it wasn't for the loud music. I will get to all the goodies later, but an Italian type bistro needs to have softer Italian music and not hip hop loud club type music. It really kind of put a damper on what was a wonderful evening for us. Having said that, our experience here was top-notch from top to bottom, beginning with asking them to change tables, because my wife cannot sit at a high top. They were more than accommodating to switch us to a lower table. The wait staff and the way they do their service is second to none. They are really moving and yet take the time to to talk with us with a smile, and they answered every question we had. Our waitress, Logan, went above and beyond the normal concept of waiting on you. She was so informative and pleasant. She even loaned me a pair of cheaters so I could read the menu, since I left mine in the car a block and a half away. She really added to our experience. And thank you to Michelle for letting Logan loan me your glasses. As for the food, everything is made from scratch and looked/tasted wonderful (see photos). The variety on the menu really had us take a pause to see what we would order. Of course we ordered way too much, but we will be back to try more... music notwithstanding.
