Piece of the Game

Was excited walking in since it’s rare to see such a great selection in this area, but then I saw the prices. I know a local business needs to make a profit to stay afloat but charging more than 25% above market for singles and MORE THAN DOUBLE market for sealed product is so far beyond ok. I see other reviews saying the staff are super friendly and helpful but that wasn’t my experience at all. My friends and I were inside for 10 minutes, including looking at cases right next to the counter, and the man working didn’t greet us or ask if we needed help once. These days more than ever we need card shops to be welcoming community spaces but this shop just felt like a cold business trying to make money off of nostalgia.

Their selection is phenomenal compared to other LCS, but their prices are typically marked well over market price, which is probably why they always have quality product in stock at all times. I stop in occasionally, but every QR code I scan reveals scalper prices and then some. The store seems more like a flex than a place to enjoy the hobby. Would love to see more honest pricing from a store that’s able to fill the shelves the way they can. I would give 1 star for their pricing, 5 for their selection. Edit: I’m changing my review, after reading their copy and paste reply that’s sent to everyone who offers criticism, I feel it’s appropriate. No one can enjoy the hobby when you’re pricing items 25-50% over market. Market price is already 3-5+ times msrp. Msrp that’s not available to individuals who are trying to enjoy the hobby. I’m going to leave it there though, I hope the scalping goes well

Beautiful shop with a welcoming atmosphere and a truly knowledgeable, friendly team. I had previously ordered online and was impressed by the quality, so I made a point to visit in person—and it exceeded my expectations. Ezra was incredibly helpful in finding all the cards I needed. I’ll definitely be back and am already planning a visit to the Wappingers location.

Amazing store with thousands of beautiful, well kept cards and packs!! Ive been buying for a long time and pulled a crazy card out of a jumbo hobby box😃 Nothing beats the thrill of going here and getting the box hoping for the best. Nothing but hits from this shop.

It was my first time going there for a Christmas gift that I couldn’t find anywhere else. It’s not far from where I live. Soon as I walked in, I was like wow! This place was so clean and bright from the LED lights!! So professional looking. Almost like a jewelry store. Everything was in cases. If I was a collector, I def would trust this store because they take pride in what they sell and offer. The young man behind counter that day was also very nice. Got my order and we even bought a few more lol. So if I ever need to find anything I would def return here! Will be bringing my son when we can get the time to make the drive!
