Oh man this is a fun spot in the village! Lots of nyu kids but all good as it keeps the atmosphere lively. Get a bunch of friends into those booths and have a couple beers on a weekend afternoon !

This is the first bar I went to when I moved to NYC, approx. 2 hours after I landed. Since then, I’ve brought family and friends here at least once. It’s a charming university-town dive bar with carvings and drawings all over the table like a middle school desk. Feels historical in a way, and to me it’s a staple of my experience in NYC.

The absolute cutest! This is a dim, cellar pub with a wooden pew bench tables, a gallery of bottle cap art lining the walls, a huge, fun beer and drink menu, and outdoor seating. This little gem is something like a speakeasy and an ancient Britsh pub all at once. We only drank their, but it is on our permanent list of stops now in NYC.

I regularly come here and was unexpectedly approached by someone claiming to be the manager who told me I was banned. When I asked what I had done wrong, no explanation or specific incident could be provided. This appeared to be a case of mistaken identity and was embarrassing and upsetting, especially as a regular customer. The interaction left me feeling unfairly targeted and concerned about possible bias. The incident occurred on May 26th at approximately 9:14 PM.

Great selection of beer and cider, and they do take cards with a $20 minimum. Our server was friendly and helpful, everything came quickly. The beer menu is overwhelmingly large, and they have more ciders than I've seen anywhere else in NYC. A good menu for bar bites and food, which is pretty good for bar food. The decorations here are great though, keep an eye out for bottle cap versions of all sorts of famous paintings.
