Patriot Games - Odessa

Went to patriot games to buy some pokemon cards and I told the guy at the counter that I wanted to pay a certain amount with cash and the rest with card. I got ahead of myself and paid with the card first. The guy got upset cause he didn’t know how to fix the amounts on the register. I proceeded to tell him that it wasn’t a big deal but he threw up his hands and repeatedly yelled out sir! sir! Then he said that he wasn’t mad at me but upset that it happened. He asked me what I wanted to do as far how to pay, like I had a choice since my card was already charged. He made a huge deal out of nothing. The solution was simple, just subtract the rest from what was left after paying with the card with the cash I gave him and give me the change. Even after he thought he figured it out he still gave me the wrong change. I had to make him aware of the correct amount of change I was owed. My problem with this interaction is that after all that he tells me that it’s been a long day and never apologized after being rude just because he had a long day. I don’t think customers should be treated rudely because you are having a bad day. Your customers have nothing to do with what’s happing to you that day. If having a bad day equals bad service then maybe they shouldn’t be in the customer service business..I am there buying cards all the time, not because they have the best prices but mainly because lm a veteran giving my business to another veteran. With this type of customer service I will be taking my business elsewhere. I wish I had more hands so I can give patriot games four thumbs down 👎👎👎👎

One of the best card shops I have even been too, everyone was really sweet and welcoming! It was one of the best few weeks we had in the area, I'm going to be really sad once we are gone and can't play. Miss you guys already!

Love this shop! Friendly players, good prices and many fun games to be had. Marshall does a great job making you feel welcome.

Every time I've gone to Patriot Games, the employees have been helpful and cheery. Dave is a great guy and was showing me around his shop. Brought my sons in and bought some DBZ figures, and then I came and got some SNES games. Justin is a great guy too, but don't tell him I said that, he might get a big head. Haha just joking guys. Patriot Games for the win!

Went in to get Pokémon cards for my Bday tomorrow and the guy looked at us a couple of times, when I pointed out the cards i wanted we got a couple of glances, we didn’t get a welcome in or anything just crazy side eyes from the guy who worked there and the guy he was talking too. I usually get my Pokémon cards here all the time to make my card opening videos when I have time. This really sucked becauw I was looking forward to this ALOT :’( (I hope it was just a off day)
