Was helped out by Gabi selling something, she was the best. She was super friendly helping me with my first time sale and we settled on a more than fair price. I have seen this shop get shoutouts on youtube and other peoples posts and I see why. I would love to come back ◡̈

Just a good vibes shop. Everyone is friendly and patient. Prices are high right now because of demand but you can still go in there and put together a TCG deck with their bulk cards. (I’m a flamigo fan)

do not support small businesses that contribute to the downfall of the state of collectibles and hobbies. I wish that more casual hobbyists and parents would call out the price gouging perpetuated by “local card shops”. Because the owners are not following market prices, theyre chasing the aftermarket rush with resellers. What makes Papa Joeys particularly “grifters” and “swindlers”, is that as a brick and mortar business, you have easier access to licensed distributors, than the resellers who leave their empty folding chairs at the front of a gamestop w their family to clean house and subsequently sell them at extortion prices at local card shows. It’s also very convenient to put your business within walking distance from Target/GameStop/Comics n Stuff/BestBuy, so to see these prices put on in demand products, tells me you probably step on the feet of your local community, to fill your shelves with more exclusive items. In theory and possibly out of practice, if Im right, that is unethical but not the issue, the issue is that you dont just mark up 25% msrp, you do what is pictured. This is predatory capitalism at it’s griftiest, and as a brick and mortar, you need to do better for your locals. You are taking advantage of ppl who are stuck making minimum wage and parents, who just want to support their kids hobbies w/o going bankrupt. I hope that you do better, and I hope that nobody falls for the wolf in sheep’s clothing. -edit; does tcgsimulator also tell you to sell spiderman promos that were meant to be free to your customers, orrr?

Had no idea what to do with all of my Pokémon cards I found in my grandparents attic and brought them in to see what they were worth…. The papa joeys team was very accommodating, sat and graded over 6k cards and sent me cash right to my pay pal in less than a week. I got way more than I thought at an almost 50% rate without the hassle of shipping handling and finding buyers for niche specific cards. Thanks papa joeys staff and team!

Wanted to give a shoutout to one of the associates that helped me a few weeks ago! Maeve was incredibly attentive, kind and knowledgeable. As someone who hasn’t collected since the 90s, there are so many new things to see! She spent her time with me and made sure I understood what I was purchasing and helped me make the best decision. I will be returning and recommending my other girl friends who collect, not only just for Maeve but the incredibly helpful staff and welcoming environment. Thanks again, Maeve!
