New Dimension Comics - Pittsburgh Mills

I couldn’t make it to Free Comic Book Day with my friend, so I sent him here thinking it would be a good introduction to the hobby. That was a mistake. My friend is brand new to comics—this was supposed to be his entry point. Instead, he was limited to one free book and received zero guidance or even basic acknowledgment from staff. One book? That completely misses the point of Free Comic Book Day. The whole idea is to let people explore multiple titles, discover what they like, and feel welcomed into the community. Worse, no one made any effort to help him. No recommendations, no conversation—nothing. For someone new, that kind of cold shoulder is exactly what drives people away from the hobby. Free Comic Book Day is supposed to grow the comic community, not gatekeep it. Instead of creating a welcoming experience, you reinforced every negative stereotype about comic shops being unapproachable to newcomers. You didn’t just miss an opportunity—you actively turned someone away who was ready to become a customer. Next time, I’ll be taking him to a shop that actually understands what this event is about and treats people like they belong.

I went in there today, just randomly, because there's a book that i'm missing out of this new collection and I was wondering, maybe I might just grab it there because i'm in the area and it's such a cool store... i mean, the book in particular that i'm thinking about, i can get it anywhere, i've got pretty much most of the series from Amazon, which started at a comic book store in ohio, finding the book wasn't that big a deal, i'm pretty close to finishing the collection, it's a small series, and the one book is the one thing that keeps me from being caught up to the new editions... so I just stopped in and madison was at the register, she was super friendly as well as the young man that was beside her, we chatted for a bit and then she took me over to a section of books she thought I might like and I found a couple more along the way, and even an action figure!! Thanks for the great service!!

Fun crew. Killer selection. They need to streamline the 50 book special for the sake of the employees sanity and customers waiting to check out.

Love stopping here when I get a chance. They have so many comics and collectibles. They also have a room for card tournaments and playing. Fun vibes everytime I walk in.

Super friendly place. The number of books is overwhelming. They have a Tardis, a life-size Tardis! A solid selection of Fubko Pops. A decent amount of action figures, cards, and board games. There's a bathroom nearby. The area around is empty but clean and safe.
