Mox Boarding House Bellevue

Really interesting concept. The board game store setup was frankly massive and almost intimidating. I was impressed by the organization, breadth of options, and overall energy. The board game store half of the building is an easy 5/5. The actual restaurant though was only okay. Understaffed (plenty of open tables but a long wait to be seated), extended wait for food/drinks, and only okay actual food experience. If I came here to play board games and eat, the food is fine. If I came here to eat and peruse board games, the restaurant experience was only a 3/5. Since I can't review them separately on Google Maps - 4/5 stars it is!

It's a game store with a really nice restaurant in it. And by really nice, I mean entirely appropriate for gaming next to and you can order from the gaming side, and a server will bring the food right to your table. I put the price for the food in the same fast casual place as like an applebees or chilis, but the food is much higher quality. Edit: aug 2026 - this generally holds, but the prices have gone up slightly. I suspect that's inflation is hitting everyone. But I haven't been to Applebee's in so long that this might be cheaper or more expensive now. They have an absolutely huge game selection and I was in tonight and they were doing some kind of inventory process in updating all their games. Despite being super busy, they were pretty fast, delivering the food, and I noticed they added some more vegetarian options to the menu. Everything was delicious. I also just played games with friends the whole time.

Visited today for the first time and was very impressed. Garrett was incredible. He was so knowledgeable. Beyond knowing the games on sale, he even gave us a fascinating lesson on the origin of chutes and ladders. The store itself is awesome, well laid out, and built to invite players of all levels. We ordered cocktails and warm pretzels which were great. I had so much fun here today! You should go here.

Awesome place! Great vibe and staff. Love the game shop connected to the restaurant. The restaurant offers board games to play while you're seated. There is also a "Speakeasy" you can get to from the hallway. Just look for the bookcase. 🥳

Mox Boarding house is a great game and card store with an incredible selection and incredible food! We were able to order mtg cards and play while we ate which is always fun. Mox is also the perfect place to pick up a new board game or a gift for friends/family
