So im a very honest reviewer. The manager there today actually seemed pretty good. I sold some cards for a decentish price and he gave me a couple cards for free that were like $2 in the deal we made. But then I went over to the more expensive cards. They had a card that was very on the line for NM but IMO was teetering on the LP side for sure. I pointed out everything I was seeing and the employee did agree with me. But even if it did dip into LP he admitted that they are still going to sell it as NM. AND that they would buy the same card they are selling at NM for LP if offered. That’s just an Absolutley insane mindset to have and to openly admit it is even wilder. If it’s a situation like this where a card is like 50/50 one grade or another then whatever you buy it at you should sell it at. So for them to openly admit this really shady practice is wild to me. I hard don’t agree with this. And yes I u derstand it’s their card and they can try and sell it for whatever they want to of course people have free will obviously. But still, be very weary on buying anything expensive from here. They also have normal trash EXs and pokeball holos for $3 each. WHAT? Also they buy these exact same trash EXs for $0.25. 12x markup on bulk EXs? Come on now what are we doing? Now is it possible to find like a $5 ex in there? Sure it’s possible. But I checked through every single one and guess what? No, their wasn’t a single card in this $3 section of the store that was actually worth the $3. So the 6-12x markup on like $0.50-$1.0 cards on top of the very shady NM/LP thing really gives me the ick. Be VERY weary on this store. Manager was cool though

Great selection of singles and slabs however 75% of them dont have prices on them and they are all behind a locked case, making it virtually impossible to shop. The employees are not very helpful. You have to hunt one down to get help and then they seem annoyed helping. When you finally do get some help the prices are typically incredibly high compared to other shops. I come here alot with the intention of buying and typically end up leaving without buying because it is so hard to shop with no pricing on the singles and no help to get pricing. It took me 30 minutes to get the price of 5 singles last time I was there. And then when I made an offer of $190 on a card they had priced at $200 and was immediately shut down and card was put back in the case like I was trying to steal from them. They also condition Cards you are trying to sell to them unfairly compared to Cards they are trying to sell to you in the shop. I sold them a card that they told me was Mod play condition and then they proceeded to put it in thier case with an LP sticker and LP pricing. This has happened multiple times. Edit: They used to put pricing on the cards but stopped on most of the singles and IDK why.

I really love this shop. They have a huge stock of Pokémon cards, bulk and rares. Their variety of booster packs is also great with a lot of Japanese options. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Cameron is always really helpful whenever I go in. Highly recommend!!

They price all of their trading card products as if they are scalpers online. 50$ for strixhaven collector packs??? Insane. Also look at you like you have ten heads when you walk in and offer 0 help or information, and if you work up the courage to ask a question it seems like the most annoying thing they’ve experienced all day. Unfortunately they have the largest MTG singles inventory atound so if you’re looking to flip through binders then it’s worth a visit but honestly I don’t think I’ll be coming back here anymore. This place and Play the Game Read the Story are a stain on the tcg/collectable hobby in the area and are no better than online scalpers.

Alot of interesting figures, toys, collectible cards, comic books, etc. The biggest issue I have is the prices have gone way up. The store itself is unique and cool, but the employees seem like they are forced to work there. No greeting or talking, even during the multiple transactions. I think the most I get is a "Cash or Credit" or "Thank You". About half or so of the times I have gone in there, it is overcrowded with Magic The Gathering players. The machines at the front were interesting but I belive they switched at least one out (they're rigged anyway). I pop in occasionally now and again to browse, but Larger Than Life Clay has driven me to look elsewhere for my hobby.
