Larger Than Life

Not a terrible place to buy singles, but their sealed pokemon products are insane. $60 for an MSRP $20 first partner box. I understand the resellers are insane, but i have little respect for a game shop that is charging reseller prices unabashedly.

this place needs some quality control. this is a hobby shop, you know the market, you know what you’re doing, so why the hell are we finding fake cards in card bundles?? Not to mention the terrible percentages on trades/buying, the overpriced sealed products ($20 for a single pack of ascended heroes is actually insane, market is $11), the AI/aliexpress slop on the shelves, 3D printed garbage shoved in your face right in the entrance, it’s no surprise they’re padding bundles with fakes. go to your towns local hobby shop, not some grimy place in the mall.

3.5/5 everything (or, at least, almost everything) is legit which is nice in a mall full of cheap knockoffs. pretty overpriced and you could probably get most things for a better price online, but I understand that they need to make profit and considering that it’s not horribly bad. I didn’t end up buying anything because they didn’t have any characters I was interested in and barely any shows for that matter either (I visited only for the anime, and they had a lot of naruto, demon slayer, etc etc. a couple of niche anime too but not so much variety of characters for that. I do get that those are the most popular stuff so of course there’d be a lot of it, but I do wish there were other things as well). they had a really nice collection of manga too; if you’re into that you should check it out. customer service was pretty good! they helped me look for stuff and were really friendly. in the end I didn’t end up purchasing anything but still, good experience ;)

Hands down our favorite store in the mall! My husband and I are big comic book fans, so this was a must-stop for us. They carry a selection of new issues (not everything, but enough that we were able to pick up some from that week), which was awesome. They also have a great variety of figures and Loungefly backpacks, so there’s plenty to browse even beyond comics. The staff was friendly and helpful, which made the experience even better. We would definitely return next time we’re in town!

Bought a Nintendo switch and was told everything was 100% tested thru and thru by their specialist. They have a 7 day return window. I am 8 days out from purchase and just got the switch comparable Nintendo branded micro SD card in the mail (after trying two others and not being able to get the console to recognize them) and it STILL won’t pick up the SD card! As well as both joycons have such awful drift it’s impossible to play. I was told I was out of the return window and out of luck. Very disappointing after BEING TOLD IT WAS FULLY TESTED there is just no way it could have been tested. And because it took me a few days to open and set up I have to now eat the cost of this one AND buy a new one. Bunch of scammers!
