Underrated store for arguably a dying art form, which is PHYSICAL media! I'm talking DVD's! blu rays! Board games from your favorite niche 80s horror sequel? Yup! Godzilla figurines? Yup! Pokemon games? Yup! This is the spot to go for video games and is also an EXCELLENT place to buy a gift card for a teenage boy or really anyone in your life under the age of 30 (I am 30 and this is my favorite store lol). Sad that physical games are going away with the advent of Steam and streaming.. oh well. Like I said, if you're into vintage or retro or whatever the kids say these days (67?) this is the spot to go!! Thanks guys! My niece loved seeing Finding Dory at our house but unfortunately my sister "vetoed" any video games for my 3 year old niece (womp womp) so the game will be returned/traded for store credit. Also, as someone who prefers blu ray and ultra hd blu ray, I appreciated finding Halloween 2018. Thanks!

Staff are very kind and treat you like a customer, not a number. Purchases put food on their tables, not into corporate accounts. Pricing is the same as anywhere, but the service is great.

I've spent thousands of dollars and hours of my time between Lancaster JPP (old store and the new mega store) and Centerville JPP and every time I go there to support the business, at least one employee is in a bad mood, or snarky, full of themselves, unaccommodating for even the most minor things, arguing with each other, etc., and judging by the responses to a lot of reviews on their pages it clearly comes from the top. I've just decided to stop going because I feel like I have to walk on eggshells and not ask for help or questions. eBay is cheaper anyways and you can see what disc you are going to get. If you need anything besides "swipe my card and let me leave" (and sometimes just that), it's like asking them the world to do anything. Can you check this? Groan. Can you point me to where this is? Groan. By the way, we're closing in 10 minutes. Get out. If you start talking about what you're buying, gaming, and trying to make small talk and you'll either catch the nerds of the bunch that will embrace it and talk about it, or you'll get one of the stern folk who will giggle to themselves as if "Wow you really like this gaming stuff haha wow" (as if they don't work in a gaming store). Kinds of ruins the atmosphere. Then if they have issues with their computers and whatnot (which seems to happen a lot), a lot of them turn that stress onto the customer. Uh, not my problem. I've even come to the counter with a bunch of games and the employees acted like it was terrible they had to retrieve all my games from the drawer due to quantity. Oh no... your job! Should I buy less next time? Okay! I mostly shopped here for the experience. eBay was cheaper, but I liked to go and shop in the store. Now eBay is cheaper and you don't have to deal with the people. The internet wins again... Most of the retro stuff can be emulated for free so if you don't you want the price and hassle just download an app on your phone

I bought 2 games from them in the past for 16$ and 15$, the halo games and came back in to sell my entire xbox collection of games with the games i bought from them btw (15+ games) and they offered 30$ for it all STORE CREDIT. I knew i wasnt gonna be alot but 30$ for a collection of games is crazy. I get it you are a business that needs to make money but thats the biggest lowball ever.

The lady that works here is an absolute sweetheart so if you can do business with her, however the neck beard that spends most his time in the back until it’s time to lowball people on trade ins needs a lesson in manners and respect, I’ve spent money at this location multiple times but this will most certainly be my last time dealing with them until new ownership is obtained. Think it may stem from a lack of women over the course of his 50 years on earth but who am I to say, if you go here beware try and sell your items on marketplace or eBay before you get ripped off!!!
