Hobbytown Santee

We just spent nearly $800 on a car and A bunch of parts to fix another car only to receive horrible customer service. One of our pro line packs of wheels we purchased was opened and taped closed, which we were promised all the pieces were there after they allowed a school to use the wheels for a robotics class. That’s fine, but all of the parts were not there. The package was missing the screws to install the hubs to the wheel, and one of the hubs is completely stripped , And won’t be usable. After calling the store to find a resolution, they were rude and almost blamed us for not checking, and said their employee should have verified the contents, even though the employee who helped us said they did. We mentioned how far away we live, And basically told us tough luck we need to come back into the store. So now I have to travel one hour round-trip, and spend more in gas than these wheels even cost. Don’t trust anything they tell you. Horrible way to be treated after spending $800 in just one day, after spending thousands at this store over the years.

I am overwhelmed with all the cool stuff they have in here! There's so much RC Car stuff that I want. Time for some fun 😃

Gunpla Builders, I would definitely recommend this HobbyTown if you’re looking for kits to build they have a wide variety. Great set up and a small area of already built kits which was really cool to see. As far as tools I would look elsewhere if you’re considering coming here in search of. For San Diego locals this spot is out of the way about a 30 min drive from central SD. Kits: Yes. Tools: No. really enjoyed the selection of model kits nonetheless.

This store is every adults favorite toy store. My boy loves to bring his car into this shop! These guys are very knowledgeable, patient, and kind to teach my son about this car. ISRAEL AND DEVIN were so helpful to us and served us with great customer service. We definitely will be back. Thanks guys.

Well, where do I start. The staff is excellent : Mark the owner , Devon tech , Mario Tech , Israel tech, all extremely helpful, the owner is welcoming, and they were , Mario to be exact, was able to fix my new Arrma Vorteks in a blink ; in addition, I even purchased a 1/8 Arrma Mojave 4s because I know if I have issues they will be able to guide me. In the following two weeks I took my Vorteks there and did my first break down under the supervision of Israel. He had a work bench set for me and asked if I had tools, which I did, and got me up and running checking in on me throughout the process. I ran into some issues but there were quickly resolved; in fact , I think if I had done this at home it would have ended up With more broken parts and a panic attack because some of the screws were stripped. The store is well stocked and parts can be ordered if they are not available.. I highly recommend to all who are curious and new to this hobby go for a visit ASAP .
