Hobby Legends Card Shop

I went here last Thursday as part of an adventure looking for LCSs in the Whittier area after recently moving. I was very happy with my experience. The shop is clean and inviting, with a large selection of bargain cards, raw cards, and slabbed cards across both sports and TCG. Their inventory was solid, with a majority of modern cards and even some “junk wax,” which I can’t help but buy whenever I see it! The two working that day were Rich and (I know I’m going to spell this wrong, sorry!) Kaylin. They were both very friendly and easy to talk to. While checking out, I mentioned to Kaylin that I was buying the junk wax for my son’s birthday party so his friends could open packs. He went out of his way to give me a few shop-assembled packs of baseball cards and a pack of penny sleeves to help get them started. That was incredibly thoughtful and meant a lo, it’s awesome to see people who care about getting younger kids interested in the hobby. Overall, an excellent experience, and I will definitely be back!

I recently visited this card shop to sell some cards. The owner quickly flipped through my collection and made offers that were much lower than market value. It felt like they weren't really considering the cards' worth, which was pretty disappointing. I'd recommend being very informed about your cards' values before considering selling here. He also then continued do give me $150 for my cards later that day sold them to another card shop for $450. Don’t recommend selling cards here!

Went to Pokemon Day yesterday and had a blast! Luckily I was back in town for the week and got to participate in the tournament. Rich and the guys put on the best tournament in town! Store is always clean and the atmosphere is so chill and inviting. Can't recommend this shop enough!

I walked in here and it was a flash from my childhood. The most unique Pokémon cards and such a huge variety of everything else. Just an amazing place. Service is awesome and they are very friendly. Highly recommend to anyone.

WENT TO THIS ESTABLISHMENT THE MAIN PERSON IN CHARGE AN HISPANIC MAN WHICH I AM ALSO SO AS SOON AS ENTERING IT S TO SEEMED TO BE A NICE PLACE HES TALKING VERY GOOD WITH THE CUSTOMERS BUT WHEN IT CAME TO MY TURN UP TO DISCUSS BUSINESS WITH ME WHICH WAS SELLING CARDS HES LOOKED AT MY CARDS WHICH ARE HIGH END CARDS HE TOLD ME THESE ARE WORTH NOTHING BUT A BOTTLE OF WATER AND DONT COME HERE IF I HAVE CARDS DONT COME HERE I SHOULDNT WASTE MY GAS I WAS ENBRASSED AND LEFT I GOING TO SEEK LEGAL ADVICE
