I had cards listed as 100+ dollars online and even on the grading app telling me they were high value (while some were slightly damaged: small whitening at the sides and edges) a lot of them weren’t like that however and were in practically mint condition. I expected to at least get 500 bucks out of possible 1k-750 worth of pokemon. But then I was told that most of them were “damaged” and “only worth about a couple bucks” even though I literally researched every card i had and calculated the values to the extent of the cards damage and price for grading. I literally only got 120 bucks out of ALL of them despite some being NEAR MINT and worth more than just 75 by themselves on anything online or in actual stores. but was told that there were only TWO cards that actually were worth a damn. Don’t sell here, just because its quick and easy doesn’t mean your getting good money, its an understatement how bullshit that was.. the people were nice at LEAST.

I come in all the time and everyone is always really friendly. Not to mention their wide selection of Pokemon cards. I love going through their cheaper cards and filling up bags of bulk. This place is great for casual collectors and serious collectors!

I'm not the target customer here — no big-ticket purchases from me. I'm just a mom of two boys who love Pokemon cards, and this store has a bin where kids can fill a bag with cards for $5. My boys spent over an hour happily digging through it. What stood out was the staff treating every kid who walked in, big spender or not, like a valued customer. They even tossed in a couple of extra packs just to see my boys light up, and kept restocking that bin without a hint of impatience. It means a lot to see a business invest in kids this way. Today it's a $5 bag, but stores like this are how the next generation of collectors gets made. Thank you for the kindness!

I’m really disappointed with the direction Hi5 has gone in the last few months. My girlfriend and I used to really love going; we stopped by multiple times a week just to look at pokemon singles and packs. While the prices weren’t always great, we always felt welcomed and that the store cared more about the hobby than profit. After the previous store manager left a few months ago, we noticed a big shift in what was being stocked as well as the attitudes of the employees. Hi5 used to stock a large variety of pokemon packs, including Japanese, Chinese, and Korean sets. Those packs were great options for people who just wanted to rip something without having to pay 2-4x MSRP for the privilege. I’m not critiquing pricing at market for the record, I understand the store has to turn a profit and they do (or did) get most of their product at shows for market price. That said, we stopped in today for the first time in several weeks, and all of those types of packs are gone. When we asked the employee at the counter, they said that they’re no longer going to be stocking those, which was very disappointing. The only packs on display were upwards of 2x MSRP ($10+). Additionally, they appear to have removed the entire section of the store that housed cheap EX and reverse holo cards from previous sets. Cards priced at less than roughly $20 are also no longer displayed, and I’m unsure if they are even being stocked at all. All of these changes contribute to a general feeling that the store is no longer prioritizing the hobby, but rather profit instead. We’ve also felt very unwelcome in the store since the management change and hiring of new employees. I had a great rapport with the previous manager, who frequently worked the counter. He was very friendly, and often willing to discount singles to match market price if the difference wasn’t significant. My experience with the new employees has been significantly different, and not in a good way. On one occasion, the employee working the counter repeatedly attempted to pressure me into purchasing a very expensive card (~$300) even after I said that it was too much and I wasn’t interested in buying that day. More of a nitpick, but the new employees also do not seem interested in talking to customers, and tend to ignore people unless specifically addressed. On the whole, this used to be my go-to card store in town, but I don’t see myself returning anytime soon, if ever. These changes have left a very bad taste in my mouth, which upsets me as I used to really enjoy going here. I hope that the store eventually returns to making those not looking to spend big money welcome. As things currently stand, it seems to me that Hi5 is now prioritizing investors over hobbyists.

I go to Hi5 frequently. Tommy and Jillian are great. They have sealed product for Pokémon all the time, but be prepared to pay market price. In their glass case, they have slabs, singles, and DS Pokémon games. They also have cards in cardboard boxes that you can look through that are filtered by set. The other half of the store is sports cards, and other collectible supplies like binders, top loaders, sleeves, etc. - It’s a great place and I highly recommend checking it out!
