We stopped by Ginger Kid Collectibles on our way back from Atlanta while passing through Athens, GA, and we're so glad we did! Jason was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable. The shop had an excellent selection of sealed Pokémon products, loose cards, sealed packs, tins, and a variety of other collectibles. The prices were very fair, and the overall experience was outstanding. We also had the chance to meet some of the other customers, and it was clear this shop has built a great community for collectors and card enthusiasts. This will definitely be a permanent stop for us every time we travel to and from Atlanta. Highly recommend checking it out if you're in the area!

Jason the Owner/Operator is the Salt of the Earth kinda Guy. I went in for the first time today, visiting the shop. I had every intention of of doing an In-N-Out trade. Everybody wins. Have a nice day, but we ended up talking forever. This Man has got it going on! Toys, Cards , Comics you name it. They will make it happen. ( TCG ) Msrp prices for Gundam, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, MTG, Pokémon, One Piece and so on and so forth etc... They offer so many exceptional collectibles, it's mind-blowing. ( G.I. Joe, Transformers, He-Man, M.A.S.K, Pokemon, Batman, Star Wars, Gundam, and so much more. ) The options for your typical collectibles are also available but, He also has lots of cool stuff that you never see at any other collectible shop period. ( Trust me you will love it. ) If you got to drive 2-3 hours even 4 or 5 hours, completely worth the trip. You might make a new best friend. Thank you so much Jason. You made this 1st visit an exceptional phenomenal experience. I feel like I made a friend today and I'll be visiting Ginger Kid Collectibles from now on until the proverbial Wheels fall off. This place gave me the same feeling as walking into the Toys'R' Us for the first time. That's how much I enjoyed it. ( For all y'all that Remember Toys'R'Us. )

Jason is very kind and informative. He has always been helpful and will give fair pricing on trade-ins and when he’s selling products. He went out of his way to make sure that I got the card and I really really really really wanted for my collection. I have referred many people to him, and I will continue to do so.

Checked this place out looking for Pokémon card singles to add to my collection. It's a cute shop with a solid amount of inventory compared to other places in Athens, and the staff was friendly. I do wish there were more lower-value ($1-$10) cards in the binders, as most of what I saw was probably $30+. They also sell sealed Pokémon products, though I can't speak to the pricing. One thing to be aware of is that non-bulk card prices aren't listed and are instead based on current market value. This means you have to ask about each card individually and wait for a price lookup, which can be a bit tedious. I understand why shops do this, but it does make browsing less enjoyable and less transparent for the customer. For bulk cards, I felt the price I paid for the stack I picked out was fair. However, there was still no pricing listed up front, and they didn't provide an estimate per card even when I asked. Instead, I was given a total at checkout that seemed to be based on the approximate height of the stack. Overall, it's worth checking out if you're looking for Pokémon cards in Athens, though the pricing system may not suit everyone (especially those working with a specific budget).
