Stopped by this new hobby shop today and had a fantastic experience! I picked up two Pokémon cards, and I couldn't be happier. They have a great selection, fair and competitive prices, and an awesome atmosphere. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and happy to answer questions without making me feel rushed. It's clear they're passionate about the hobby and want customers to have a great experience. I'm excited to have a shop like this in the area and will definitely be back. Wishing them nothing but success!

Geekd Out Cards & Collectibles is an awesome local shop in Monroe, NC with a great mix of trading cards and collectibles. They carry Pokémon, Magic, One Piece, Weiss Schwarz, Japanese booster boxes, and more. What really sets them apart is the welcoming community they’ve built through weekly game nights and open play tables. It’s a great place to shop, play, and meet other collectors and players. Highly recommend for anyone into TCGs or looking for a quality local store

Geekd Out Cards & Collectibles is easily one of the best local spots for trading cards, collectibles, and tech services in the Monroe/Charlotte area. From the moment you walk in, you can tell this isn’t just a store, it’s a real community hub for players, collectors, and anyone who loves the hobby. Their selection is awesome, with Pokémon, Magic: The Gathering, One Piece, Japanese booster boxes, and plenty of other collectibles. Whether you’re a longtime collector, a competitive player, or just getting into TCGs, there’s something here for you. It’s the kind of place where you can always find something exciting. What really makes Geekd Out stand out is the atmosphere. The owner Nick, has created a welcoming space where people can actually come together, hang out, and play. The game tables and weekly events for Pokémon, Commander, and One Piece make it easy to connect with other players and be part of a growing local scene. That sense of community is hard to find, and they’ve built it really well. On top of that, it’s not just a card shop — they also offer tech sales and repairs for phones and computers, which makes the store even more useful and unique. It’s rare to find a place that blends hobby culture and practical services so well. If you’re anywhere near Monroe, NC, or surrounding areas, Geekd Out Cards & Collectibles is absolutely worth checking out. Great products, great events, and a great community. Highly recommend supporting this shop.

If you’re looking for a store that is genuinely passionate about the hobby, this is the place to go. Nick was incredibly helpful and enthusiastic about every part of the hobby, which makes the experience feel welcoming whether you’re new or have been collecting for years. It’s refreshing to walk into a shop where the staff actually enjoy talking about the games and the community around them. What really stands out is the sense of community. It’s a smaller shop, but the community is strong and tight-knit. They do their best to keep products at MSRP whenever they’re able to get them from distribution, which is something you don’t see often these days. On top of that, they offer some of the best buy prices around when purchasing singles or sealed product, which makes trading and selling there feel fair. Even though I don’t personally play One Piece, it’s clear they’ve built a strong One Piece community that shows up consistently. Their Magic Wednesdays are smaller, but that actually creates a more close-knit and focused environment where people really get to know each other and enjoy the game. Devon also deserves a special mention—he has an amazing personality and always manages to make me smile whenever I stop by. It’s small interactions like that that make a shop feel like more than just a store. Their trade nights have also become a great alternative to some of the bigger store trade nights in the area. Overall, this shop has become a staple LGS for me, and it’s a place where I spend a lot of my free time enjoying the hobby. If you’re looking for a welcoming community and people who truly care about the hobby, this is definitely a store worth supporting
