GameStop - 942 - Discovery Village

GameStop is neat. But they overcharged me for an item I got a quote for over the phone, no wonder GameStop's are closing with this kinda service.

First of all I was lied to by an employee at this GameStop location when I purchased a pre-owned Xbox series x 1 TB I asked the gentleman what the return policy was and he stated twice 15 days for a full refund or 30 if you're a pro member. I purchased the Xbox 13 days ago so I'm thinking I'm within the time frame well I call to see how busy they are and how long it takes for the money to be refunded to my credit card because I'm in a buying financially anyways long story short the gentleman tells me on the phone oh no 7 days for full refund 15 for exchange. He then tells me yeah I don't even talk to people about the returns I tell him it's on the receipt because you can get in trouble for that? So the gentleman who sold me the Xbox originally lied just to make a sale it seems and the other associate I talked to today not only was he rude over the phone he hung up on me. I have filed a complaint with corporate and do not recommend this location to anybody looking to purchase games or game consoles or anything game related horrible customer service horrible bedside manner horrible experience altogether. I don't even want to leave one star but you have to in order to post the review.

Great store, all the employees are phenomenal! Super friendly, helpful, and bring a lot of 'spirit' to every interaction. Shout out to Robert & Co, you guys are probably the BEST Gamestop team I've ever had the pleasure of dealing with. Its not often you go into a retail store where the employees are not only lively, but regular cut-ups as well. I've never had a bad experience at this place.

The cashier was Robert. My daughter and I walked into the store to browse and buy some cards. We had a great time browsing the store until we got to Robert who checked us out at the cashier and whom also is on my receipt . While checking out ,this creep decided he would make small talk to my ten year old daughter. Making jokes that one of her toys was for him and if he can have it and that she bought it for him. And she was like uhh no. He said it over and over and she said no making her turn red from the awkwardness. He continued to pick at her trying to get her toy. After her not wanting to any longer speak with the weirdo he decided it would be an even better idea to make comments that she isn’t the brightest crayon in the box. And said it roughly three times and she just shrugged her shoulders with how weird he was being and unprofessional. Someone behind us in line a child said the world “dullest” and he said yes she is the dullest crayon in the box. And I took my daughter and immediately left. We have never experienced such unprofessionalism from a worker in this store . Highly suggest this worker to get some therapy since he thinks picking on ten year old girls is an ok thing to do . Maybe it is possible that this man was not mentally capable of being professional. And if that is the case then we apologize . And maybe it is possible that his caregiver keep the reigns close when it comes to that one. The next person may not be so forgiving and understanding of his mental capabilities and he could get really hurt.

I have been purchasing all my transformers from GameStop because they are much cheaper than the other stores,even Amazon,by tens to hundreds of dollars. I have even bought exclusive figurines,games, and t shirts from GameStop. My best story about GameStop is from a few years ago. I bought a Fallout 3 GOTY edition and it completely glitched on my Xbox 360. So when I took it back,they decided to check how many glitches there were in the disc...and boy they did! 11,250 glitches in the game data itself. The staff took me back to their microwave and nuked the disc,and gave me a fresh,brand new copy of Fallout 3 GOTY edition.
