"The people at this store were very kind and showed great gratitude. Since Waterbury no longer has a GameStop, this was the closest location for me, and I had to drive about 30 minutes to get here. It was worth the trip." 🙏🎮

⭐️⭐️☆☆☆ Frustrating experience overall. The staff were kind and trying to help, but there were too many inconsistencies for this to be a smooth process. My trade-in took multiple days and wasn’t handled consistently—items accepted one day were then rejected the next. I also saw signage for a 20% trade-in bonus toward new games (with Pokémon shown on the poster), but was told at checkout it only applied to pre-orders, which didn’t match what was advertised and what it said. On top of that, I had an online order that went unfulfilled for over a week with no real updates from customer service despite multiple calls. To make things more confusing, the website showed no Switch 2 consoles within 100 miles, yet when I went in today, the store actually had quite a few in stock. I did eventually get the system after jumping through hoops and the employees were polite, but the lack of consistency, communication, and accurate information made this far more frustrating than it should have been. Because of that, I wouldn’t choose to go through this process again. Do your homework and order your items in person. Not online. Not what I remember GameStop being.

No longer honors pre order pricing for TCGs. What a shame. Tried to use an arbitrary rule to avoid honoring preorder pricing when they didn’t have the products available on product release date.

Staff are socially awkward weirdos. Walked into the store and the two employees just stared at me like I had 3 heads and said nothing, not even a hello. The customer service at this location is subpar, they're indirectly rude and talked to me as if I was child. Not to mention one employee was just playing games on his phone. I wouldn't waste my time going here again, not even to save my own life.

The store is great and some of the employees are awesome. I recommended this location to her but she shared a very uncomfortable interaction she had with one of the employees he's light skin with ginger hair. He Was indirectly rude to my friend. Unfortunately my friend has pretty bad social anxiety and when she finds people who have similar taste to her she gets overwhelmed and just get over exited and just starts talking and tries to fit in and make conversation. The next day she went to trade in some games and that same employee was there too and on her way out he made a very sarcastic and unnecessary comment towards my friend saying "oh my friends don't leave I wanted to keep talking to you guys more" then laughed. She was with her brother when it happened and my friend really took offense to that and now the progress I managed to make with her to help her feel more comfortable in public places went down the drain thanks to that worker. And I know some people might think is dumb and all that but considering all the things my friend's been through, I really didn't appreciate it.
