GameStop - 6078 - Shops at Lee's Summit

Says they do magic the gathering events but they unfortunately falsely say this. I am under the belief that the workers keep the event packs and promo cards. I have went to this particular GameStop for a couple “events” and each time, the store has been everything but magic. This most recent time, they were playing DnD instead. I don’t believe that this is the policy of WotC so I’ll be submitting a formal complaint with them as well regarding the lack of “events”. Advice I can give, stop supporting GameStop and shops like these because the employees care more about them getting some type merchandise out of events rather than pushing them out for the community.

Beware. Bad experience here. Had my son attempt to trade a game in today. As the transaction was being handled, he texted me that the value seemed really low for the game, and I confirmed that it was too low, and not to trade it. My son, having never traded in a game before, was not informed that once he signed the pad that his "rights to the game" would be waived. Even though we asked for the transaction to be voided, Rebecca and Savannah claimed that they could not. I asked for someone to call the manager or district manager. They called their manager Evan, and he confirmed there was nothing they could do, and refused to give me the name and number of the district manager. I called corporate and they said they couldn't help because it was a store level issue. In 2024, what kind of business can't reverse a transaction where the ink on the receipt isn't dry yet? Pitiful.

Billy and the staff are really good people. I pre ordered an item back in Dec its not in yet but they have been keeping me up to date and doing everything they can. The delay is not their fault but they have taken my weekly calls with great professionalism and customer care.

The most Amazing staff here at our GameStop and love how they handle releasing bundles , fast and efficient while keeping everyone safe!! I have got to give a shout out to “Dylan” real name Billy for keeping Pro members in the loop!! Everyone in line was cool and everyone got their bundle. Thanks GameStop
