GameStop - 4994 - Chino Spectrum Towne Ctr

I absolutely love the people at GameStop. They are the best and greatest asset of the company. That being said, the move of the company to sell TCGs at scalper prices instead of MSRP like all other major retailers is a completely anti- consumer move. On top of that, they're leaning heavily into gambling and "chases", selling them for exorbitant prices for a chance for a PSA maybe 8-10? And it might be low value? Lean into the gambling and get em hooked young. Trying to claw back their share prices like this is a desperate move. For now I'll go back to chat with the employees, buy some used Xbox One games (disc to digital, nice), but I don't support their TCG strategy - it's literally a brick and mortar eBay scalper store at this point, if your looking for cards.

I like GameStop. The employees are nice. Always lots of used games. I try to stop by this location whenever I'm in the area

Very kind. I asked if they had a figure in stock which they did not. Regarded an issue with the app clearly and one of the associates called several other GameStop’s to see if they had it in stock. I highly appreciated the time they took to check up on things.

Bought and reserved a game, just for them to sell it. What was the point of reserving it? When I went in to pick up my game they told me there was a 48 hour policy on the reservation, however, they didn’t tell me that before selling my game. Now the game is sold out and I don’t know when I’ll be able to get it. As a side, employees are condescending. Go to a different location if you’re able to, this one is not it.

Brought my 8yr old to find Pokemon cards. The team was so helpful and gave great advice for a new collector. They even let him pick cars on the house! Made my son the happiest kid in the world!!! Great customer service, definitely coming back :)
