GameStop - 4790 - Mechanicsville

My son bought a console from my local store, controller that came with it had some issues. They contacted this store to arrange an exchange since they had one on the shelf and I was going to be passing through. Walked in, mentioned the situation and business was handled quick without any issues. Very helpful.

I traded in a Nintendo switch 2, games for it, and a controller for it at a different GameStop about 1-2 weeks ago, but couldn’t purchase this new ps5 slim disc edition at that store because they didn’t have it in stock. I used trade in credit to get this new ps5 slim disc edition, and my only small, but not very bad complaint was the seal was broken even though it was new. That DID NOT mean however that it was used, everything inside looked perfectly new! So all in all, I’m very satisfied with the customer service, the price, and the experience. I have severe OCD and I did worry that I messed up the box a little from ripping it because I had to open it part of the way in the car with my mom to check to make sure it was brand new (because when I got in the car, that’s when I noticed the seal was broken). I got frustrated, but that’s just the box so it’s ok, be careful opening the box when you get it so it doesn’t rip! The outermost part of the box is flimsy! So be careful! store had the doors locked at 6, sat in front of the store saw 2 customers come out, then a lady with a ps5 came out??? really just confused why they locked the doors and had the store closed at 6 when it says 9 online. not satisfied, i wanted a switch😭

We normally have a really lovely time in this game stop and the manager is always nice and helpful. Yesterday my boyfriend went to go pick up a game that he had already preordered and paid for that was released yesterday they hadn’t even taken it out of the box yet. He calls again today it’s ready and we come after work and they have a sign on the door saying closed with two people staring at us. Never had an experience like this in this store ever. The two employees like newer.

Cool place. My 8 year old had me take him there so he could buy some Pokémon cards. The staff was very knowledgeable and helped him pick which packs to buy for better chances of rare pulls. Much to his surprise one of the packs in the tin he bought had some kind of rare diamond Pikachu card in it, which apparently is worth up to $1000 if graded. Thanks!
