GameStop - 4771 - Watchung Square

Angelina was an AMAZING help!!! She was so patient, knowledgeable and helpful with our trade in, and we are so appreciative!! She was also very fun to hang with throughout the process.

I went into GameStop today expecting a simple purchase, and instead left completely disappointed. The pricing was inconsistent and felt misleading, and there was no effort made to make things right. As someone who has spent a lot of money here recently, it’s frustrating to see how little they seem to value their customers. Situations like this shouldn’t happen, and it really shows a lack of transparency and care. Honestly, experiences like this are why people are losing trust in GameStop. There are plenty of other places to shop that treat customers better and are more upfront. I won’t be coming back after this.

I came to GameStop in watchung today to buy a Pokémon perfect order elite trainer box (ETB). The box had a sticker on it saying it’s 79.99. The employee (Diego) peeled off the sticker and put another on for 89.99. When I question it, he told me that’s that old price. I said but that’s the sticker price on there and it’s only right to honor that. He did not honor it. I have a membership and between yesterday and today spent $688.00. For 10 dollar it should have been honored. I called the corporate office to see if it’s policy and sure enough they can change the price. I will not spend any money in GameStop anymore. This policy does not help the many gamestops closing stores down. My recommendation don’t patronize this store or GameStop for that reason. There will not be another Wall Street GameStop resurrection like a few years ago. Short the stock!

This is why GameStop is dying. Business is dead. GameStop owners please be flexible or you going to be out of business like blockbuster. Visited this GameStop today while my kid was playing nearby and I was ready to purchase Pokémon Scarlet. I asked if they could price match Target’s $44.99 — they said no. That’s fine, but then I asked if they had the game in stock. They said no new copies were available, but offered a pre-owned copy for $54.99, which was already more expensive than a new copy elsewhere. After waiting about 15 minutes, they found a copy — but it didn’t even have the original case. At that point, I just purchased it digitally on my Switch for $59.99 to save time. I think this store is missing easy sales opportunities. Customers who are ready to buy shouldn’t have to deal with higher used prices, lack of stock, and long wait times. Would love to see improvements in inventory management, pricing competitiveness, and overall customer experience.

Had a great experience today with David. He went above and beyond helping me with a trade in and contacted customer service to help me reactivate and use an older gift card. I also noticed he was this helpful and kind with all the customers in the store while i was there. Great staff, thank you David!
