GameStop - 4644 - Lakewood Center Mall

Went to do a trade and they told me to come back in 2 hours or go to book off to trade in my devices. They said their trade would take 2 hours. As a former gamestop employee i know that trades do not take 2 hours. not sure why they didn’t advise another gamestop. went to book off, they did not accept the items i wanted. employees here just lazy and don’t want to help or do their jobs, give you misinformation. I had called a couple times in the Am to check if they would be able to assist me, no answer either. There were 4 employees working, only 2 computers there. Someone could have answered the phone. Wish I got their names because I would for sure name drop. I ended up going to Cerritos Gamestop and it was amazing. Do yourselves a favour and skip this gamestop, head over to Cerritos instead. Even though the moneys all going to the same company, you’ll have much friendlier people who want to help you in Cerritos.

I had such a great experience at this GameStop location thanks to the amazing customer service from the staff. Ana was incredibly helpful and took the time to clearly explain the whole process of our online order. We had placed an order for Pokémon cards, but they weren’t available yet, and she walked us through what was happening and what our options were. Because of how helpful she was, we ended up signing up for the membership and even picked up a few other things in the store. The next day, I stopped by during my lunch break to pick up my online order, and Ray was just as helpful and friendly. What really sets this store apart is the customer service. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Writing this review for awareness. Rep Nilon Today I found 12 games that wanted to purchase, however 4 of them was priced incorrectly. The price tags showed $19.99, however ranged up higher. Which made them not qualify for the 4 for $40 promo. I had to switch out my game selection 4 times, till i was able to find a game I wanted that rang up at the correct price. Normally when this occurs, the rep/manager adjusts the price. However this did not happen today. I understand a game or two slipping the crack and not getting the price updated however 4 in one visit is unacceptable. I been shopping at this location for years, and out of the respect for the Store Manager Ana who is AMAZING. I will not let this visit reflect my score, just wanted to bring attention to the interaction.

Ray was so incredibly helpful to me when I had a return today - she took the time to help me contact GameStop customer support and try to talk to them when they couldn’t help my situation. She understood my situation and knew it was something that should’ve been returned. I truly appreciate your patience Ray thank you!

The customer service was amazing!! The lines were crazy long and the employees were still so helpful and kind!! I was here on 12/23 and I saw the review Rapali left, I was in line when that situation went down and her review is completely false the employees were trying to be as helpful as possible and explain the Pokémon limits to her as a nonpro member and Rapali blew up on the poor employees, threatened them and stormed out, it’s Christmas and retail employees go through enough just take your one box and go no need to berate the poor workers just doing their jobs. Just wanted to say Happy Holidays to the GameStop team! And thank you for the amazing service and smiles through what I know had to be a trying day. The manager was so sweet and the guys were so helpful ❤️ be kind to retail employees 10/10 would go back just for the service alone
