Slow service they treat you like you aren't there when waiting. I honestly won't even give them a star.

Absolutely terrible customer service at GameStop. I came in needing a simple answer that should’ve taken maybe 2 minutes, and instead I was ignored for almost an hour while the employee stood there on the phone with his boss struggling to make a work schedule. Meanwhile, there was a growing line of customers waiting to be helped and nobody seemed to care. It’s honestly ridiculous how little respect they have for people’s time. If your employees can’t handle basic scheduling without shutting down the entire store, maybe that conversation should happen before opening or after closing — not while customers are standing around wasting their day. The lack of urgency, professionalism, and customer care was unbelievable. Everyone in line was visibly frustrated, and the whole store felt completely disorganized. GameStop continues to prove why so many people would rather shop online than deal with this kind of incompetence in person. Definitely one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve had in a long time.

Gamestop will never beat the stereotype of terrible customer service and poor decision making. I'm honestly shocked they're still in business because every single one is the same horrendous experience. Let me explain what happened to me at 7pm as I went into the store yesterday, 4/15/2026. There's a FF game my friend wants me to pick up here as he lives in Ogden. I go in, ask if they have it, and the 1 person working kindly tells me where to look for it. Great, I grab it and head to checkout where there's 1 person in front of me doing a trade in for an xbox. Alright, shouldn't take too long, I'm the only other person in the store the worker can likely just ring me up real quick I'll take 30 seconds. WRONG. What ensues is the greatest waste of 20+ minutes of my life, being the ONLY other person in line and at times the only other person in the store. Worker and guy keep miscommunicating on trade in value vs cash, guy repeatedly saying the price offered is not what he was quoted on the phone 2 hours ago. (Brother it's gamestop you're not getting a good trade deal). Worker is trying their best to get this dude out the store without being upset. Offers him $40 trade value, guy then again says "I want cash, like I said before." I'm visibly upset standing in line behind this guy. I WILL TAKE 30 SECONDS PLEASE RING ME UP. 20 minutes go buy and finally I get to be rung up. I approach the counter and get the regular schpeel of "Do you have a phone number" No (I never shop here for this reason) "Would you like to sign up you get points and preorders etc. etc." No. I get rung up AND IT'S $10 MORE THAN STICKER???? $54 GAME STICKER IS NOW $64??? I ask the worker "Why is it $64, the sticker says $54?", they go "It comes with the included protection plan." I DON'T NEED A $10 PROTECTION PLAN FOR A USED GAME, LET ALONE IT WAS ADDED WITHOUT ASKING ME FIRST? AFTER MAKING ME WAIT 20 MINUTES I NOW GET TO DEAL WITH THIS BULL CRAP? Like come on GameStop. Every location is like this. Everyone in Davis County that I had the displeasure of going to YEARS ago was like this. The crash out I experience in the car after having my time wasted like this was embarrassing to say the least, and then trying to get scammed another $10 when I wasn't asked if I EVEN WANTED IT??? Please, for the love of everything, if you're buying any type of video game or wanting to sell your stuff, do not choose GameStop. Attached screenshots are showing the timestamps for when I had the game in my hand vs right before I left. Ridiculous.

If i could give 0 stars I would. I went in to buy a PS5 pro before the price jump hit. I ended up getting a refurbished one that was supposed to be cheaper $711. We'll I ended up looking at the receipt and I was charged $750 for a brand new PS5 pro. Then the dude behind the counter couldn't do basic math and ended up getting an extra $18.40 from me. I was ripped off. So please don't go here.

Went for the recent Pokemon card release. Waited for over an hour in the cold, and wasn't too far from the entry. But, when we got in, they had sold nearly everything as pre-orders and pick-ups and left just 1 ETB and a few poster collections for the release day. Everything was gone within 3 sales. This is a terrible mismanagement that will lead to tons of unhappy customers, and scalpers making all the profits. I was really loyal to this store, and they did much better in the past. The last set was available in the store well past 6 pm. I hope they do better in the future.
