This GameStop location shuts down during posted business hours for breaks with no coverage. The employee was polite and handled it well, but this is clearly a company staffing issue. Customers shouldn’t be turned away from an “open” store because there’s no one available to keep it running.

Firstly, I never make reviews, and, when I do, it’s because something exceeded my expectations. However, industries can be a joke and it’s moronic how GameStop even functions the way it does (which is barely at all in my opinion). Ordered a game online from GameStop’s website for same-day delivery. Ordered it early in the day so it was still supposed to be able to come through within the same-day delivery period. Well, I got a text saying the order through Uber was cancelled. I called the store and the girl didn’t ask for a tracking number, what game I ordered, no details whatsoever and gave me a BS answer so I called customer support instead. Even though the website says it’s still processing, the customer support says it was cancelled and that the website just hasn’t updated yet. On top of that, the order is going to take 5-10 business days to refund. No wonder the one in my town closed and so many others are closing. GameStop is failing as a business and it’s stupid they can take your money when it’s not even available in the store you’re expediting it from. What a joke of a company.

Terrible customer service from multiple associates on multiple different visits. Most times workers are unhelpful, unenthusiastic, and overall disengaged. This is why so many people turn to online shopping. The store I used to frequent has low inventory constantly, and many areas of the store are disorganized. When contacting customer support you’re given the same issues as in store. I don’t see how this company manages to stay profitable within today’s market.

I usually have a great time at the mall Gamestop in Vienna. Picked up a couple discount Zelda tee-shirts for my girlfriend and tried to find Bravely Default II used, but no go. These McDonald's Funko Pop! were hilarious.
