Pre ordered newest Pokemon set. Was told it was 5 dollars to pre order a piece. Fast forward to today. Find out it’s 5 dollars a pre order and you still pay the difference in MSRP. This was not communicated when I pre ordered and is extremely disenguous to only say, “it’s 5 dollars to pre order.” Scummy practice and a waste of time. This company has spawned a generational hater. However, the woman at the register was very lovely and was very polite. She slays 👍

I can’t say enough about this GameStop location. I went in today - 05/01/2026 - looking to purchase a new headset. I’m a MMO/RPG gamer who operates as a Tank so, comms are super important; especially in trials. It helped that the associate - Astraea - was super professional, knowledgeable of her products, with the gaming experience and knowledge to help me with the perfect headset. Excellent experience today.

Usually don't have many issues at this location but my last visit was a massive frustration.. Came in to trade in my PS4 console and some extra controllers for the $25 extra credit on console promotion, and this (female?) employee Ashtrea I believe her name was, I've never seen her here before and she was extremely rude and insanely inappropriate making sexual remarks towards me and other customers in the store. She then proceeded to turn me away from trading in and kept changing the reason for why she couldn't take my trade in..?! Went to the other Braintree store and the staff there was more than helpful and was able to take my trade in without any issues. Safe to say I will be avoiding the South Shore Plaza location for the foreseeable future since this is the trash they decide to employ now.
