GameStop - 337 - Plaza Bonita Mall

Guy at register was rude. Asked a simple question and he replied with a sarcastic response. Also was not helpful when i asked about a certain product.

I went in for a PS4 controller. When I called someone awnsered and when I asked if they had one they said yes so I asked if they had a micro usb cord for the ps4 controller he said no over the phone even tho I said I saw online there was one. He said they don’t get traded in with them so they don’t have one. I still needed a controller so I went and asked for a cord in person. I’m assuming the dude who awnsered the phone told me they don’t have one while the younger guy said one sec and walked away. As he was ringing me up he informed the guy that yes they do have a cord and it’s 9.99 just like online said. So I recommend going online to see what’s in stock or talk to the guy without glasses and who handed me the cord cause he was happy to help and I wouldn’t be playing my game without him. Seriously so happy for it. Would be five stars if when I called they actually checked instead of just saying no to get me off the phone. I get it it’s busy but it’s not hard to check real quick. But hey I guess a jobs a job so bare minimum right?

Most of the employees are very nice, but every time I interact with one man in particular (according to the receipt, Marcos), he has always been condescending or had some sort of weird attitude. I don't like writing negative reviews but service from him has been so consistently poor. I actively avoid calling or buying from this store because of him. I'd rather go to other Gamestops or game stores where I can shop comfortably and leave in a good mood.

Prices Above MSRP: This location consistently charges over ticket price/MSRP for their products. Employee Scalping: Limited promo releases are practically the only reason to visit GameStop anymore, yet employees are hoarding these items to resell them. I know this for a fact because I bought cards on OfferUp from an off-duty GameStop employee who had 10 promos listed and openly admitted to this practice. Terrible Customer Service: The staff lacks even an ounce of cheerfulness or basic manners. They seem absolutely miserable and act as though they are doing you a massive favor just by being there. Unprofessional Management: An employee named Marcos and a manager named Keith literally laughed at me for declining to buy their overpriced merchandise. When I directly called them out on this behavior, they flat-out lied to my face. It is incredibly hypocritical for management like Keith to project a "good Christian" image only to lie directly to a customer. Save your time and money, and take your business to a store that actually values its customers like Papa Joey's or Comic N Stuff located in the same mall.

Ummm I came in on 4-30-2026 around 6 pm. Bought 2 booster packs. The ascended booster pack only has 5 packs in the booster not 6. As the box states... literally just opened it . Talk about a rip... so I wouldn't recommend buying anything from this shop... go elsewhere..
