Would give 0 stars if I could. I called the GameStop phone line to check if the store was open. It's Labor Day Monday today, and Google Maps rightly said that regular store hours may be affected, so I thought to double-check. This was legitimately the conversation that followed from the point the phone was picked up: Customer: "Hey, I'm just calling in to check if the store at Atlantic Terminal is open today." Gamestop Associate: "I picked up the phone, didn't I?" Customer: "Okay. Thank you." I then put the phone down and went to the Best Buy down the road from this GameStop instead. Let's take a moment to dissect how ridiculous this logic is even if one were to put aside the rudeness for a minute. 1. If the phone getting picked up is supposed to be confirmation of the store being open, then how is the customer supposed to confirm this without calling in the first place? 2. And then if merely stating the reason for calling is so inappropriate as to elicit such a response from the store associate, then I can only assume the expectation from GameStop is for the customer to immediately cut the call the moment it's picked up. Absolute buffoonery. I have never experienced customer service as atrocious as this within such a short interaction. Should be an achievement to be this rude this quickly. Never going to GameStop again, and this is the first thing I will mention whenever GameStop is brought up around me. Like another reviewer said, please put this embarrassment of a business out of its misery already.

I have been standing in line at this GameStop for 25 minutes to buy an Xbox controller. In that time they have checked out a total of 2 customers, no exaggeration. I have never been to such a depressing store it literally would have been faster to DoorDash an Xbox controller. Good lord please someone put this store and company out if it’s misery it is an absolute joke

Since the one that I normally go to was shutdown back in January 2026 (Like all the others), this one is the only option I got left that is still "Near" me. ($6 MTA roundtrip irks me but whatever, it is what it is). This transaction happened back when Resident evil: Requiem came out, so late review. Quite a long line... Understandably, since its the only one left LOLOL. Waited in line and the guy asks what I'm here for. I said i preorder RE 9 and here to pick up. Gave him the receipt, went to the back, told me to keep waiting for next in line... so i did. The customer service is courteous and friendly! Did the transaction, traded in some games for store credit to reduce the price of RE9, and it was pretty much smooth sailing. I have 0 problems here. Maybe because i am a extremely patient guy, they saw that and they never got irritated with me or whatever. 5 / 5 stars. Will continue to come here for the foreseeable future! (Not like i have a choice in the matter...)

GameStop has seen better days, most of the best locations are permanently closed. All the real ones are gone, so now all we got is the bottom of the barrel. Ngl there is some good true gamer people left, but corporate basically killing what’s left of the brand. This one is the best GameStop in the entire Brooklyn area, and it’s sitting at 3 or so stars. Lmao Tells you everything we all cooked, GameStop is on the way out. Miss the days when EB Games existed that was healthy competition. Plus EB Games actually did some great things, sadly now they Canada ONLY. Though I’ve heard they ain’t doing so good either, as both tbh always had their issues. Anyway we stuck with GS down here, and if you want my true recommendation just go to Target, Best Buy or a local mom/pop spot for physical games. GameStop imo will sometime in the near future just become an online shop. Physical locations are killing them, costs are so high especially here in NYC. Foot traffic is low due to gamers not being treated right at these places for years. So yeah GameStop on its last legs, sad cuz I did have some fond memories but well it is what it is.

The long haired cashier was very helpful. I came in looking for a Switch 2. They were out of stock, but he directed me to a different location where I could find one the same day. I'm happy because I was able to get the console a few minutes after walking into the original GameStop. Friendly, above and beyond, and overall excellent customer service.
