I've been a Gamestop customer for years. I game a lot so was advised to purchase the 2 year warranty on an Xbox controller I bought at this location. I did so and was told "you don't need your receipt or anything, if there's any issue just bring it back and use your phone number and we'll take care of it". This was at the end of January. I now have stick drift so I brought it in to exchange per the warranty. The employee told me "sorry we don't have any record of the purchase connected to your phone number". I told them I can show you the bank transaction which even shows the purchase made at this location. He told me without the receipt or the warranty sticker (which they never provided) he can't help me. I was told to call customer service which I did. They found the purchase with warranty and told me at the end of the call they would email me the confirmation I could show to the store. Well it's been 2 hours and still no email.... ***Update: After calling customer service AGAIN they finally sent me the purchase detail email. The store replaced the controller (6months) but told me I'd have to buy another warranty even though I had a 2 year warranty. I feel like the remainder of the warranty you had should be applied towards any future warranty you purchase on tied replacement item.

The “store leader” is incredibly unpleasant. Just had the most painful conversation while trying to buy 1 simple preowned game. Had to wait in line 10 minutes just to have an uncomfortable conversation while checking out. Super pushy and cheap sales tactics and I felt like I was being talked down to the whole time. Could not wait to leave the store

Im really not sure what it is about this gamestop, but I have stopped in twice now and on both occasions the clerk behind the counter just seemed... miserable and like they would rather be anywhere else in the world. Please note, I'm not bashing them personally though. I have been a customer at Gamestop for years and it's also incredibly rare to see just one employee manning the store alone and that was the case with both visits. For any managers or execs at corporate that might see this, you should look into how these employees are being paid/treated as it's clearly coming through in the quality of life your employees have. For any customers who happen to stop there, I'd caution patience and showing a little grace.

Dear GameStop, I remember growing up coming into your stores and choosing to buy games from GameStop instead of going digital because of the experience and excitement your stores used to bring. Unfortunately, my recent visit completely changed that feeling. When I entered the store, there were three employees at the front, and only one greeted me after I greeted everyone first. Other than that, there was no interaction at all. I spent time looking around the store knowing I planned to make a purchase, yet nobody once asked if I needed help finding anything or if there was anything new I might be interested in. What disappointed me most was my interaction at the front desk. The employee assisting me refused to even look in my direction and continued doing what he was doing before starting my trade. During the process, he rolled his eyes and barely spoke beyond asking for my phone number. There was no simple “hello,” no “how’s your day going,” and no effort to make the interaction welcoming. On top of that, there was no attempt to mention upcoming releases or recommend anything I could put my trade credit toward. Because of that experience, instead of preordering LEGO Batman for Nintendo Switch through GameStop, I’ve decided to purchase it digitally instead. I truly hope GameStop can return to the customer experience that once made gamers excited to walk through the doors. “Power to the Players” used to mean something, and I hope welcoming gamers becomes a priority again.

!!! Buy your games somewhere else but not here!!! Worst manager named Bree. They should display at the counter that physical credit card and ID required for return. I have purchased a ps5 pre owned disk for 32$ using Apple Card tap ,they did not ask me for an id while purchase nor my physical credit card and when I tried to return it couple of days later they Manger Bree the blonde asks for physical card the next day I went with my physical card and then they ask id and the next day I went with my id and they say they can’t take the return as the 7 days passed. They did not ask any id for any of the persons standing before me in line. They sold me a pre-owned disk for a price which I can buy a brand new one else where. They did not even provide a full store credit instead they offer $18 out of $32 I paid.
