THEY NEVER PICK UP THE PHONE!! Also, don’t come here unless you’re willing to wait an hour to reach the counter on a Saturday with only 1 employee working. There’s about 12 people in the line waiting since way before i arrived to pick up my Pick-Up online order, this is ridiculous!

we walked into the store while a worker was spraying room spray and complaining about how every customer smelled bad, which was not a nice thing to walk into. then we asked the man with long blonde hair if one of the game consoles they had in stock was functional and he told us that every console they sell is functional with a snarky attitude.

like the other reviewers have mentioned, this guy with long blonde hair, late 30s, yapper told us to just come back tomorrow just to buy a TSHIRT because he was going to take more time after close to check someone out. mind you we had waited 20 minutes but he kept talking and talking to customers who weren't even engaging in conversation with him. don't even come here.

I had the worst GameStop experience I’ve ever had at this GameStop location. My boyfriend and I were simply trying to purchase two separate items in two different transactions, a totally normal ask, and JonNathan (cashier with long blondish hair) seemed to take a massive issue with this. He tells us that we should’ve just done one transaction and that we are wasting paper, we are making his life harder by holding up the line, etc. mind you he’s a yapper so the line was being held up by him anyway. Additionally, my boyfriend had worked at a GameStop prior and JonNathan proceeds to rag on him, asking “how do you not know [this very specific information] if you worked here????” Sadly GameStop employees are just like this so I can’t say I’m surprised. But I do hope that anyone reading this will heed this warning: if you go to this GameStop and see a man with long blonde hair behind the counter, WALK AWAY.

The Riverside GameStop is definitely the worst store, out of their entire chain. One reason, is that their location is small. Therefore they tend to possess a sad selection of anything that you would shop at a GameStop for. Also, on a busy day, that location is packed and uncomfortable. It is hard to enjoy the GameStop shopping experience, when someone is always in your way. Another reason why I would recommend not buying anything at that store, is that I have had multiple occasions where the employees aggressively try to sell me products that I don’t desire or try to bully me into signing up for subscriptions (or whatever) that I don’t want to pay for. I have dreaded the inevitable harassment, that I know that I will face, every time that I have checked out there. One time an employee couldn’t even find the one game that I wanted to buy. They had the case, but the game mysteriously vanished. Perhaps the incident that pissed me off most, is when I accidentally brought the wrong wallet, during my last sporadic visit. I tried to buy one of the Batman: Arkham games and the employee wouldn’t sell the video game, because I did not have proper identification. While I commend the fact that they were most likely doing their job, all they accomplished was to temporarily keep a “mature” video game out of one extremely pissed off 44-year-old’s hands. Eventually, I walked over to Timeless Entertainment in Berwyn. There I found everything that I was looking for, at roughly the same price or cheaper and I didn’t get harassed in the process. I will never make the mistake of shopping at the Riverside GameStop again.
