Fantasy Fortress

I do not recommend trading or selling cards at Fantasy Fortress. In my experience, their buy/trade offers are not transparent or consistently applied. I have personally gone in several times with high-demand chase cards and been offered 50% or more, with staff willing to talk through the value. However, when my wife has gone in with comparable high-value cards, she has been treated rudely, spoken to in a stern and dismissive way, and offered less, including offers capped around 40%, with little to no explanation. This has happened more than once, so I no longer see it as a one-off bad experience. It feels like the offer is based on who they are dealing with and how much they think that person knows, not just the card’s value. That is exactly why I would not recommend doing trades there. A shop buying valuable cards from the public should have clear posted percentages or at least explain how they came to the offer. Without that transparency, the process feels predatory. Someone who does not know the market, whether that is a parent, spouse, grandparent, or newer collector, could easily be lowballed on a trade and then pay full market or above when buying from the same store. Card shops need margins. That is not the issue. The issue is inconsistent treatment, lack of transparency, and low offers without explanation. Until Fantasy Fortress posts clear buy/trade rates and applies them consistently, I would not trust them with valuable trades.

Highly recommended! My daughter came in to shop for her first set of Pokemon cards. We looked through their binders and found a few cards we liked that were very reasonably priced. They even threw in a few free cards for her to get started with which was so kind. The atmosphere & vibe in this shop was also fantastic. My family really loved it & it made such a positive first impression for my daughter with collecting Pokemon cards. Thank you!

Absolutely phenomenal atmosphere! The staff was great and the people there were super friendly and conversational. Not to mention... They may or may not have bulk stashes of cards that you can go through and grab as you need... I may or may not have fallen in love with this store.

I went into this shop to buy a Tarkir Collectors Box, but unfortunately every store I’ve been to is sold out. I looked around and ended up buying the Aetherdrift Finish Line Bundle which ended up being the most worth purchase of my life. There were two collector boosters in the bundle and I got one of the best pulls possible. The staff there were very nice and helpful! I will definitely be back 😁 Edited: I forgot to say that the staff blessed my pulls before I left and I think that’s what gave me the luck needed to achieve greatness 🔥🔥

From the moment I walked into this location, I was greeted by friendly and genuine staff. The store is well lit and clean with lots of unique and fun things for trading card gamers. The owner and crew have made it their goal for this store to be a safe, family friendly space and they have done an excellent job of it! My son and I feel welcome and safe at this location and will be making this our game store home. Absolutely come check them out! This is the place to be if you are a magic player and love the commander format!
