Came in for the Marvel MTG prerelease for my first visit with my wife. Owner is super nice, and the store is well-run. We had a great time.

For new collectors, please comp any slabs they try selling you before making a purchase. I made the mistake of not doing so during Comic Con in Anchorage and ended up paying $420 in addition to some trade towards a Chinese CGC 10 Pristine Pikachu Tracey claimed would get a BGS Black Label 10. He ended up comping the slab for a little over half the price of a BGS Black Label. Long story short, it in fact did not Black Label (it got a Pristine 10) and I ended up losing a pretty good chunk of money. I strongly advise collectors to be wary of this business.

Fantastic Realmz is a wonderful place! The space is warm and welcoming to everyone who walks through the doors. The staff are knowledgeable and they clearly care about building a positive community around tabletop gaming. It feels easy to walk in and find your place. They host well-run events, support a wide range of games, and create an environment where people want to stay and play. Fairbanks is really lucky to have a place like this.

Edited because I can't reply to a post by the owner. Their reply should tell you everything you need to know about this place. As if I gain anything from a lie about something that happened four years ago. And rather than try to apologize, or at the very least ascertain more info, the owner calls someone a "lier." Yeah, that's the only alternative here. Really, their response speaks for itself lmao Back in 2022 I called to see if they had any stock of a new release Cardfight Vanguard set (Lyrical Monasterio) since they're the only one in town who carries it. The owner, whose name is Ashley or something like that, tells me "Yes, I have some but it's all in boxes in the back and we're doing a Magic tournament so I can't go back there right now." Okay, fine. I ask if he can hang onto a booster box for me, and he agrees. Call him up the next day, and he sold his ENTIRE stock of the new set to one customer who drove up from Anchorage for it. Ever since then I have stayed well clear of this place. I cannot discourage anyone strongly enough from shopping here.

I rate this the best card shop in Fairbanks. Treated like a human and respect. Recommend very highly if you are looking for a great, clean, and welcoming card shop to play magic.
