The store itself looked lovely and had so many unique items that I would have loved to purchase. Unfortunately, my husband and I left empty-handed because the atmosphere didn’t feel very welcoming. When we walked in, the two employees (who I assume were working) were chatting with each other. We were the only customers in the store, but no one greeted us, acknowledged us, or asked if we needed any help. We walked past the register area multiple times, and despite several opportunities, neither employee interacted with us. Maybe I’ve just been spoiled by the genuinely warm and friendly customer service at the neighboring shops, but this experience was a letdown. A simple “Hello” or “Let us know if you need anything” would have made all the difference. Customer service is such an important part of the shopping experience, and unfortunately, we didn’t feel welcomed, so we decided to leave without making a purchase.

Best game store I’ve ever been to. All the staff (Kyle specifically) are so welcoming, kind, and offer a sense of community right as you walk through the door. I couldn’t find the game I came looking for there, so I went up and asked the cashier, and he explained the ordering option from their Geneva warehouse. I at first opted for Amazon, but then later in the day changed my mind and called them relatively late, very close to closing (only now realizing that it might’ve been annoying). Kyle—the cashier—not only remembered me, but put a special order in from the Geneva warehouse and guided me through all of the steps of ordering it online. I’d also like to mention how after hearing my local game store shut down, Kyle told me about the open-house days in Lagrange and Downers Grove where people just come in and play games—just another testament to the community this store offers. Will definitely be coming back here if I need any other games, or simply looking for new ones!

Kris was so helpful today! We’re new to RPG and he was incredibly patient while explaining what that is to us, ways to protect ourselves when we play with others, and asked questions that supported his recommendations to us. He was so kind and really knows his stuff. Kris made my husband and I feel really excited to spring into a new hobby in a way that feels sustainable. This store is lucky to have him.

So many different, new (and some old) games to choose from for all ages. Employee Kyle was so helpful pointing out popular, or his favorite, games. He even taught us how to play a few. Open one Saturday a month til midnight. You can bring in your own games or use the complementary games available in the store. Thank you for all the future fun we will enjoy with our family and friends.

Did the ATLA MTG Prerelease event the other day. Staff was super welcoming. Everyone I played was super nice. And even outside of our event there were two other groups playing different games there. Lots going on. Good clean store with all the top board games you can think of.
