Elegant Octopus Games

I have had many positive experiences at this store when it comes to cards and non-digital media, and I have bought several retro video games from here. I have had the unfortunate experience of being disappointed that they have not always worked. I don't know if this is an issue with the business not testing their pre owned games, because I assumed they do, but this would lead me to believe they do not do so. Again, great service but they don't test their video games before selling.

If you want to be treated like complete dog excrement for being new to the shop, buying a single card because that's the one that fits your MTG deck, or have your gender identity assumed, speak to Andy! Andy has a long spanning history of treating customers like crap and it's driving all my friends and loved ones from the shop. I would love to see some behaviors change and proper customer service to return to the shop where my friends don't have to be humiliated for being new or their buying choices and can play with their other friends they met through the shop. Andy needs to work on not assuming people's gender identity based off their gender expression. From what I understand though, the owner of the shop does not care or do anything about Andy's behavior, even when reported, so I doubt that any actual changes will be made. This is the warning to please be careful when choosing this establishment for spending your free time and spending the money you worked hard to accumulate for a fun night out.

This place has it all! I was looking for a PS Vita charger and they had it. Of course they have games, but they also have manuals, controllers, peripherals and lots of trading cards.

I emailed Elegant Octopus Games a while ago to ask if they were dog friendly and they were one of few card/retro game stores that replied back which told me that this store was a good store. They said that they are dog friendly which was another plus so we decided to check them out. My boyfriend checked them out first as he was in Tacoma and said that the store was well organized and the staff were professional and kind. We got the same hospitality when we came in with our fur babies which I appreciated. I even was standing for a bit while my boyfriend was looking through their kiosk for Final Fantasy Magic singles, and the staff offered me and the fur babies to have a seat which I thought was very considerate! They treated everyone who came through the door with the same amount of kindness and professionalism. The store is organized with the left side having most of the video games and the left and back side having TCG which ranged from Pokemon, Magic, and Lorcana. They also have plushies and other cool collectibles too! We definitely want to keep supporting such a cool and welcoming video game and TCG store that is also dog friendly!

2021 12 This store is so clean and so are all items being sold. The store is big and spacious with lots of popular games. Multiple copies of some of the popular titles. They have all the card games and even some arcade games setup in the back. Everything is well wrapped. I feel confident in what I am buying here.
