Da Shop New York

I had a great experience shopping at this store. They had a very good assortment of TCGs including Pokemon, Yu Gi Oh, Star Wars, Gundam and many more. They also had comics, video games, binders and binders of singles and an almost overwhelming assortment of Gundam model kits. The Pokemon selection was one of the best I’ve seen in NYC, they had English, Japanese and Chinese sealed product and singles. The owner was friendly and knowledgeable, Kayla was also amazing. Now for everyone bashing the prices or service……. THIS IS NYC. Keep that in mind, nothing is cheap, you will NOT find product at MSRP prices. If you want product at MSRP camp out at Best Buy, Target or Sam’s. Heck even Gamescalp doesn’t sell at MSRP. Sadly this is the reality of the Pokemon market today. Don’t blame it on TCG shops. They are a business not a non profit. Now in regard to service, New Yorkers have a no nonsense attitude, if you go into their shop and complain about the overall Pokemon Market or are disrespectful or impatient don’t expect great customer service.

Victor was super chill and created a welcome atmosphere. I came in after seeing some videos and reviews about the store while I was in the neighborhood. He was transparent with me about what he would be willing to do regarding trades and negotiation and, in my opinion, was fair as it relates to market prices. People come on here and complain about "scalper" prices but at the end of the day this is a brick and mortar shop in Manhattan and they need to make money. Find me a single shop in NYC that is selling product at MSRP - that's the unfortunate reality of the world and Victor was more than willing to negotiate with me. Another thing - while I was there and had my cards out, another customer expressed interest in purchasing some of my stuff. Victor was totally cool with us doing a deal in the store and I really appreciated that. Other shops in the city like Trainer Court are really uptight about that sort of thing. I would highly recommend anyone come in check the store out. The only downside was that he had a pretty limited selection of PSA slabs, mostly CGC and other grading companies. But that's totally not worth docking a star for. Come check out Dashop.

One of the better stores I've gone to regarding pokemon. They have many binders (english and japanese) full of IRS, EXs, and Full arts with a decent price tag. The owner is super nice and welcoming, will defiantly come by again !

We had a really great experience here, especially since it was my daughter’s birthday. We only bought a pin, but the staff was incredibly kind and welcoming. My kids were a little shy because it was their first time in a collectible store, but the person working made us feel comfortable right away. Even though we only spent a small amount, we were treated with a lot of kindness and respect, which really stood out to us. I personally love the vibe of the shop as someone who visits collectible stores often. We’ll definitely be back.

First time buying here. I usually just com in and browse. Bought Pokémon AH and a Chinese surprise plush. The young woman who serviced me was very nice and patient. The owner is extremely nice and patient. Funny guy also.
