Tyson Schneider started selling comics at local conventions in the Indianapolis market at a young age. Shorty after high school he opened his first brick and mortar store in Greenwood, Indiana. After a few years he sold that first store to Downtown Comics of Indianapolis, Indiana and joined their board of directors. Tyson continued to work with Downtown Comics for a few years, before leaving to pursue online sales of comics books in the late 1990s. He grew his online business, and relocated to Florida in the early 2000s. By 2008 Tyson saw a need to open a brick and mortar store again in an underserved market, in the fall of 2008 Comic Central was reopened as a full service comic book store in Sanford, Florida. Over the years it has become a fixture and destination in the central Florida community for comic books, collectibles, as well as geeky and pop culture figures. In more recent years the store has been expanding in to the collectible card game community. Our goal is to continue to becoming a stronger hybrid style store carrying a full range of comics, cards, collectibles, and related merchandise to serve the growing central Florida community for years to come.
