Amazing. Harkens back to the old days of our GenX youth. You just never know what incredible finds will reveal themselves to you. Wo default staff ( did record store day and all of you were wonderful). Just picked up some dice, as I am now about to dive into the worlds of D&D. Also found a very cool gorilla marketing book.

I’ve been coming to Black & Read for about 25 years, and it remains an absolute staple. They have an amazing selection of both current and classic RPGs and board games, but the real magic is the thrill of the hunt—I never leave without finding an unexpected treasure. The staff is consistently friendly, helpful, and always happy to special order or preorder anything not currently on the shelves. On top of the games, their selection of books and vinyl is excellent. Highly recommended for gamers, readers, and music lovers alike!

Because Black and Read is tucked in and hard to see while driving along Wadsworth, I haven’t had the chance to stop by until this past weekend. I didn’t really have any expectations and decided to just check it out but ended up very surprised. First off, the service here is top notch. Since we walked in to when we left, the people here are the prime example of customer service. Great job guys! There are a ton of new and used puzzles, board games, records, etc here. The prices are in between a thrift store and places that only sell new stuff if that makes sense? Especially if you’re looking for board games, you would really enjoy this place. There were so many here that I have never heard of before. I got a used puzzles here for $7! I look forward to coming back here and browsing around!

It's better than most media shops in the Denver area. They have piles of stuff and supposedly they have more in storage because the floor is full. They're up for trading for credit but I've found they are kinda inconsistent with their offers. I have found deals and also over-priced items. I got some rare things for ok prices too. I sure wish they'd go thru that pile of old posters, I'm not sure how to display all of them but they are just getting beat up in that pile. I've been quoted $10 for vinyl I pulled from an unpriced stack to see it priced $22 a week later. They want horror and fantasy books/ dvd's/ vhs. Don't expect much for credit, even for rare cartoon vhs.

This store is a whole vibe. I love it so much. Their prices are excellent, and I haven't been to a game store to date that has so many secondhand games. I picked up a few that are a little harder to find, and I even found a brand new one for my collection. The owner, Kari, is so lovely, and you can tell she is really passionate about her business. Brandon showed me the game section, and I heard him speaking with a lot of guests about different games that they may like based on their interests. He seemed like a fount of game knowledge. If you're looking for new or used games or books, this is the place. I will 100% try to check it out the next time I'm in the Denver area.
